Japanese online retailer Maruzen toys has put up some new, higher resolution images of the upcoming Masterpiece Grimlock and Crossover Mickey Mouse. Both listings include images that we have seen before, but in a much higher resolution so we can now see details previously unavailable, such as the articulation on Grimlock’s dinosaur arms and Crossover Mickey’s head, which features a tiny Mickey Mouse holding on for dear life! Discuss all these new images on our 2005 Boards.

He looks real good, but I'm still going to take a wait and see attitude on him.

I hope I am able to get this Grimlock when it comes out. I don't care for the serving tray or even the "brain drain" device, but I think it is great that they are including a crown.
It's a shame that his right hand isn't articulated. I would rather have full articulation than a light up accessory.

OMG! This Grimlock MP looks amazing! I can't wait…

Apparently it's in the list of features. How exactly that gimmick works…well, that's what I'd like to know.
Anti Spark
He seems to in scale with classics?

Great points Polenicus, It's a shame there will always be disappointment in something by people. MP Starscream is my favorite toy of all time and I'll leave it at that as I don't wanna steer this thread away from the awesomeness that is MP Grimlock.
I might've missed it, but where did somebody say you can have his eyes red or blue?
Polenicus
Not really, his are just more integrated
He has a mounting bracket to hold the Megatron pistol that comes with Optimus, referencing that one time Megatron attached to his underbelly in jet mode.
He has the chest missiles, again which appeared in maybe one episode.
He has Dr. Acheville.
He has the alternate 'smirk' face.
He comes with a stand that can hold him in robot mode or jet mode flying, or serve as a stand for him in Robot mode or jet mode just sitting on it, as well as provide a mount for unused weapons (Either Null rays or missiles). The stand can also store all of his accessories – including the clear mount for flying poses – on the underside
He also has an alt mode that's visually realistic enough to put the Alternators to shame. The level of detail is just obscene.
So no, I don't think Screamer got shafted at all.

Mickey is love.
But that grimlock…
OMFG! I want that! But it's missing a massive Computron to dump his brain into. Otherwise, THAT'S what I'm talking bout should be used for the movie as a nod. Dead on perfect mix of simplicity and complexity in an iconic shell that just screams fun and very photographic and poseable. So scrumptious.
Meg's random gun is the one he shot prime with from the movie.
Kremzeek was odd though.
Butler grimlock is awesome funny.
Brain Drain Helmet is kickass too.
Starscream really got the shaft though on accessories and size.

Grimlock, you will be mine. you will….. be mine.. can't wait.

Takara loves their obscure references – and I love them for it.
And there we go. <3

I personally don't know if I'm going to display it in robot mode or Dino mode. Both are going to be fantasmic. Maybe I'll buy 2!
Mixmaster
Nah, you're not, I prefer the "Simon Furman Grimlock" also, it's just that there are a lot of cartoon fans about.

I am not sure if this is covered already, but according to the text Grimlock's head/neck is interlocked with his legs and tail, and by "stomping" his feet his head moves up and down. Likewise by moving his tail the head turns left to right. It also mentions "biting" gimmick and an apron will be also included
As for this Maruzen store, they are basically a wholeseller, this Grimlock price is when you buy a box of 4. They apparently ship outside Japan and take paypal. I have not used them myself though.

that's how I'd assume his colors to be. I was gonna display him in robot mode, but if the Dino colors are even similar to that, there's no way I'd display him any other way. His color pattern is just so perfect. Plus looking at his robot mode, his back is not gonna be pretty, but noboy would see it anyway

Liking MP-Grimlock so far & also might get the Mickey-former for my daughter.

Why … … aren't you?

Lol i like the images with Grimlock and Optimus its quite funny, plus the other images aren't too bad either, more of a look-see to how it'll look up close and personal

Masterpiece-line TFs are pretty much loaded with obscure crap only dealt with for short periods of time. ('cept maybe Starscream) Grimlock is unique in being one of the only ones with a Comics-based accessory instead of exclusively cartoon and animated movie – based ones. Perhaps that's a clue that Hasbro had some involvement or influence here (and will hopefully release it in the west sooner or later), as Japan had relatively little exposure to the Marvel TF comics. (me think)
I do think the obscure accessories are getting weirder and wackier as they go. Optimus got an axe and in-scale gun Megatron. Megatron got a 'found' laser pistol and Kremzeek. Grimlock gets a brain transfer hat and a tray of drinks (any bets on whether he gets a cloth apron to go with it?)
