Roberto Orci has revealed some further information about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on our 2005 Boards. He states that some of the leaked TFW insider information may be misinformation. Specifically, he states that Soundwave is not a pick up truck, although he doesn’t rule out Soundwave being a truck of some kind.
On the subject of misinformation, Roberto mentions that the false information generally has not been working very well, in fact he says it usually does not work.
In other postings, he stated that the “Fallen” in the title may be a robot, or just a synonym for the defeated side. We can also look forward to fights like the Freeway Brawl in the first movie between Optimus Prime and Bonecrusher, only longer this time around. There’s also a good chance we might see a Decepticon who is ridiculously loyal to Megatron and the Decepticon cause. Just don’t expect it to be Tidal Wave – Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and the other writers just could not fund a way to make him work in the sequel’s story.

People are so quick to forget the "disguise" aspect of "robots in disguise"
What better disguise than turning into something that is completely out of the reach of the Autobots but still enables you to spy on everyone?
And if you need to go to Earth to kick some ass, you just transform into robot mode. Most of the TFs in the first film didn't transform back into vehicle mode when fighting, so Soundwave wouldn't need a mobile Earth-mode to be dangerous.

We have an anonymous source over at seibertron.com as well, and when we asked him/her to verify the whole pick-up thing, he/she could not find any reference of Soundwave reformating from his satellite mode, that does not mean he doesn't, but it leads me to believe that… well, he might not reformat at all.

Soundwave is probably the loyalist, and the not a pick up truck hints at the hummer truck instead. Though who knows. I had a feeling the TFW insider was probably going off of opinion of what he's seen, as opposed to directly knowing what's going on in the movie.
The other TFW insider stuff could still be true, just it's tidbits that were probably gleamed as opposed to directly knowing exactly how various aspects will be handled.
IE he knows devastator is in and what vehicles, but not directly how they will be used or if they are entirely new bots altogether as opposed to two bots being rescans after repairs. Or arcee is made of 3 bikes, but no real info on if those are minicons or just her body pieces or 3 bots, or even the soundwave truck, what he may have saw and been told was truck like, but not being informed of the exact make etc means probably the insider thought it looked like a pick up truck, etc. His info is just like someone who was getting small snippets of truth without full on explanations of why or what as Hasbro or Game studios or other more in the know aspects might have. Ditto to even some of the producers even who aren't on set everyday. Even Murphy I doubt knows entirely what'll happen in the movie. The Devs vehicles are different since those are pretty easily accessible online of what types, or the insider may have inquired deeper on it cause of who it was.
Bay has a tendency to alter stuff on the fly anyway sometimes when he gets better ideas anyway. So who knows. =)
The fallen is in, but there's a good chance while it may eventually get a body, it may use the 'fallen bots' as his body temporarily. Which still hints at it possessing megatron and fits with 'megs' not being in 90% of the movie, because 'megs' isn't the dominate personality. What you have to keep in mind is that the news fits like a rubiks cube, just cause it looks impossible or is discredited, doesn't mean it isn't being used in a different fashion of that same aspect.
I know this will be stated as a 'he tell me' but the game I can almost guarantee will mention the original 13, and have a 'fallen' like bot. But even the game labs are being tightlipped on the full usage of the fallen. This with Furman's remarks suggest it is some form of entity or spark as opposed to full on new bot right away. It being on earth nearly as long as the allspark also suggests this. Especially if it was a spark the allspark had reclaimed for some reason, and was freed during the allsparks destruction in megatron's chest.
The pieces of info we've gotten have all been superficial, nothing actually story centric, so that still leaves oodles and oodles of possibilities.
As for the twins, I concur with bay's statement on that. There are more than one set of twins. As we already know the twins aren't the lambo brothers anyway, that already defeats their rumor.

alright this is getin' ridiculous we get news and later we find out it's bullshiz, thats why i don't visit the movie news forum much …. jazz no jazz, soundwave truck no truck…… return of the fallen fallen referencing the fallen one of the original 13 in war within no fallen from comic just the general idea of decepticons beaten. stupid!! it's old

It's not so much that the insider was wrong as much as he wasn't entirely correct. He's still a truck, just not of the pickup variety.
I would estimate that 80% of the information that has leaked is true, based on the comments that Orci made about the misinformation campaign.

That was my take on it too. Like they're taking the time to make one or two pieces of misinformation to put out, but there's more real information that keeps leaking out with it.
