Tonight, Entertainment Tonight will have a first look behind the scenes of the closed Transformers 2 set at Holloman Air Force Base and White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. ETonline‘s reporter Mark Steines has been video blogging on his way to the set. Check out his vlogs here and here for a preview of tonight’s show.

The ET Transformers Tuesday episode. . .
This may sound pretty harsh and scathing – it's late at night. Anyway, I HATE how they edited this – I recall one shot where the F-16s ( I thought they were DECOMISSIONED recently by the U.S. Navy months ago – if they're using F-16s for this film, why the hell couldn't they use them in TF1 for Starscream, especially? ) were flying over and the camera person pans down and we can't see the end of the sequence (the editor didn't help, either). I also hate how they kept going back and forth repeating the same damn things, and then when they finally get to something more than a minute long, it's near the end of the damn show!!!!! I also hated the intro too, as the reporter mentioned all the human characters/actors but didn't say anything about the namesake of the movie – THE TRANSFORMERS!!!!!! Wow! Reminded me just exactly why I have such a LOW disregard for much of the mainstream media.

Man I was watching The Insider and they kept saying 'Shia has some ground breaking news coming up! keep watching!' 'Shia has a huge revelation! keep watching! it's coming up!'
Huge revelation? He puts ice cubes on his thighs to keep cool in the desert.
OH crap I should have marked that with a spoiler alert!
rapid_fire
wow, did I call that one or what.
such great "insider" information! I bet none of you guys knew this movie was gonna star Shia and Megan, with lots of explosion and transformers!!!!
Autobot-Girl
It was very
Backscatter
Yes, but not too bad watching it either.
Optimatron

halfblood robot

I didn't hear a thing about the autobots, but basically just a bunch of talking, explosions, host talking and talking…about..stuff. A single visual feat involving F16s which is talked about for the majority, not a single mention of the Transformers as characters really =(. Too much of talk of stunts and such, no plot or anything really that interesting. *sigh* nothing new to report from what I saw….cept promises of more exclusives.

OMG so much talking it's like 90% advertisements for what else they are going to talk about and 3 seconds of actual content. Reminds me why I used to leave the room when my mom would watch this crap when I was little.
It's like BOOM BOOM BOOM from one topic to the next.
SPLIT LIP
I missed the part about the Autobots and the military being buds.
EDIT: that sucked.
Ironhide546
Is anyone watching this? Just caught the end of something. Shia and Megan are in the desert dodging explosions. Autobots have a rapport with the military now.
Weird how it looks like it's ending up in the same set as the Scorponok battle.
Also I guess Revenge of the Fallen doesn't sound that gay when spoken aloud.
doomtron

doomtron

frenzyrumble

Can someone capture this for the fans over the pond and make a torrent – would be great!
Soundwave784
whens it come on and what station?
Peanut04
I seen the promo this. The Inside edition on set stuff is supposed to be on today as well. Since they are affiliated, I'm sure it will be the same stuff. I'll be watching both regardless. I hope we see something cool.
Apriorion
Will they likewise post the actual story after it's been aired? Or not?
Alienbot
It rains in the White Sands desert?
[Wing_Saber-X]
Sooooo… essentially nothing new then?
Sigh… here's hoping there's more "scoop"
