IDW Publishing Editor-In-Chief Chris Ryall has updated his RyallTime blog with the Trevor Hutchison variant cover to All Hail Megatron Issue #7. The cover features Optimus Prime in less than ideal condition. All Hail Megatron is tentatively set for a January 2009 release.

it actually looks more like the shattering is glass, not actual Optimus. Plus, the shatter looks like a glass shatter, not an exploding robot.
I mean, i get it for its figurative statement. and it is a gorgeous, stark cover. So i'm not complaining

Hutchinson does it again – Love his covers for AHM! Can't wait to see the story behind this one.

its written by shane mccarthy, and its 12 issues long, with around 8 issues of actual story by the feel of it!

now that's how u make an ideal cover: full of impact, done in less than an hour! i like it!

As an Autobot fan he story makes me a sad panda

That's actually really nice. I love high contrast graphic covers.

Is it? I don't even keep track anymore since he seemed to have the monopoly on it for so long.

I thought someone not Simon Furman was writing this series? Also, issue #7, huh? I can't remember the last time I saw a Transformers book go past issue #6… how far up will this go? I'd really like to see a normal TF book, that keeps going in a normal numerical order, because I'd like to see a book make it past issue #80 – which is the highest number that's been on a TF book.

Prime dead in a Simon Furman book?! I never saw it coming! Keep up with those original ideas!!
