Here’s some good news for UK-based fans whose Transformers Animated collections need an Autobot Leader – the Voyager Class Earth Mode Optimus Prime has now been sighted at a Forbidden Planet International store in Edinburgh. Optimus was in his European release packaging, so he should start appearing at non-speciality stores sometime soon.

Interesting. The one in cardiff hasn't had anything tf import-wise since Robot Masters.

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!! Even in the UK they are finding new things, damn I need to move!!
Ramrider
That's odd, 'cause I'm sure the Nottingham branch is an International, and it's always imports there. That's where I got my Classics Mirage and Cliffjumper, as well as my Galaxy Force Megazarak and BT Hound.

How convenient that I'm going to Edinburgh tomorrow.
Big Bot
Hopefully Lugnut and Grimlock aren't far behind.

I still haven't seen him in Canada he's been around like a month.

Edinburgh only got the wave 1 figures in last week, so I was supprised to see Prime there. Needless to say he was in my hands in seconds.

Yeah Forbidden Planet is the one that tends to deal more with imports, FP International gets things as they come to the UK.
This is great news for me though, as the store in Cardiff is an International, so I may have to pay another visit soon.
BigPhill
Yea, they're 2 different companies.
The store in London is owned by Forbidden Planet, and tends to be a bit more expensive.
The store in Edinburgh is Forbidden Planet International.

Prime was wave 2 I'm sure.
The Edinburgh store doesn't tend to import things which are readily avaliable in the UK, so its just likely that they've got their orders in early.
Ramrider
Has it actually been released in the UK, though? I'm surprised it's even a Euro box, but in my experience FP mostly just deal in imports, so presumably it's been brought in from the Continent. Vayager Prime's what, wave 3? I don't think he's due out officially for a while.
Takara_destron
Forbidden Planet International's prices are standard I find, its the stores that are just Forbidden Planet that have the higher prices.
Draven
Whu? "Forbidden Planet", and "decent price" able to be used in the same sentence?
BigPhill
The guys over in the sightings thread suggested I report this, so blame them if it's not news.
But today I bought Voyager Optimus Prime in Edinburgh's Forbidden Planet, for £19.99

Its just a quick camera-phone pic as I don't have my camera at work, and the box won't be in 1 piece by the time I get home.
It's the Multi-Lingual box as per the usual European releases.
