The E-Hobby pre-order page for Takara Tomy’s upcoming Encore Meister reissue reveals that the figure will be released with a remolded head, possibly from the Stepper mold. The listing also indicates it will be released with “Condor”, the Japanese name for Laserbeak.

Whatever head he has, he's gonna be damn handsome (even drunk looking).

Seems as I was right as they've removed the entry.

My TFC Laserbeak, my TFC Buzzsaw, e-Hobby Garble, e-Hobby Sundor, Classics Laserbeak, and Encore Laserbeak all seem fine to me.
Encore Laserbeak (Condor), the one that came with Soundwave, is a different red than the previous versions and his stickers are darker orange.

For those wondering about the difference in Jazz's face among the several reissues, you can check the pics on TFU.info:
1984 Jazz
1993 G2 Jazz
2003 Commemorative Series Jazz
2004 Commemorative Series Ricochet

I'd rather buy knock offs if they are better quality, I have no love for Takara anymore with their shoddy workmanship and crappy remoldings.

I bought a TFC Soundwave #10 awhile back and Laserbeak seemed a bit off, so I compared him with my recently aquired Laserbeak Chinese Knock off and guess what? The knock off was of superior quality, so much so that it made the Takara Laserbeak look like it was the knockoff.
Nevermore
Yes.
The "goofy head" was a mold degradation that started with the G2 version, although with the reissues it was a lot worse than it had been on G2 Jazz.
Takara fixed the face for the Stepper reissue, and Hasbro used the same head for their Ricochet version, which came out at the same time as the Takara version.

I sure hope that you are right.
pscoop
I am pretty sure it did.

Did the Hasbro Commemorative Series Jazz have the goofy head too?

Picture of the figure with the new Stepper head is not out yet anyway, I think
Rodr-Evil
I don't see any pic..

hopefully the various problems that mould had have been cleared up, there were improvements for the hasbro reissue (car roof fixed better) and then the reissue stepper toy had a new face too. i wonder if they have given him back his g1 feet, ie the silver tabs which were wider in the original mould. if there are significant improvements then i'm getting 2 of this, other
wise just 1 and in part for the awesome box.
its a great shame that reissue collection #1 meister was so weak, all the other reissues felt solid and just right, jazz just 'felt' of poorery quality when actually holding it.

The word "condor" was deleted just now.

laserbeak (Condor)….then how about Ravage?

TFormers quotes Figure Oh! magazine stating that the "remolded" head will indeed be the Stepper reissue head rather than the degraded mold head (although TFormers manages to get the facts garbled again).

The only Jazz I have is the Hasbro reissue which head does he have in comparison to the others?
Basketball Jones
The other Encores didn't receive e-Hobby exclusives.
The line is less ambitious than TFC. The only reason why Ironhide and Ratchet have exclusive releases is a result of the film.
Omnibus Prime
New head, 'Condor' or no…what I wanna know is will there be a 'movie' E-hobby exclusive like Ironhide and Ratchet. Silver G1 Jazz FTW.

If this release has a new head (Stepper/Ricochet), I'll buy it for sure. The chrome weapons are also a deal maker.
