"What!? What's everyone looking at!? Have I got something on my face?"

^Sweet!
As for kids crying, they're aiming for a PG-13 rating. That means Parental Guidance for children under 13 years. That means if they're too young to handle the film, keep them away from it.
Problem solved.
kjeevahh
totally, jazz looks like megatrons twin brother.
i am SO GUTTED i thought jazz was the collest design for a transformer ever concieved.. until i saw him without his battlemode mask on. now he's horrible.

Sadly, I find the pics of Prime's face and the Autobots scarier than the Decepticons. Gawd! Even Jazz freaks me out. I can hear the kids cryin' in the theaterz now.

Here is another take…

Tried to make the megatron photo some justice…

Your eyelids go across your eyeball, don't they? When set into animation, it's unlikely the "lid" will pass over the pupil. If you look at the Empire magazine cover with the Prime render, you can see how the lids are above and below the pupil. Without them there, he'd be making an "OH NOES!!" face.

This is considered an "improvement"? I'm gonna be sick….

Battle and standard mode huh? Looks more like an angry pigeon to me. But…it's Megatron. So long as the soul is the same I don't care what he looks like on the outside. HMMM…what soul?
oddobot
Still the only design I find just abhoring is Starscream. He looks like the bastard child of Waspinator and Donkey Kong………..
Akumaxv
Lol. I get it homie. Expressions. I just think a line directly across the eyeballs is a tad much.
Actually, I just tried to put the top line of my glasses across the front of my eyeballs, and it sucked. Plus, I couldn't emote. OH NOES!!!!

Go watch Prime's death scene in the 1986 animated film. Watch his eyes. The new Transformers designs will be able to do that and a whole lot more, only instead of using metal with fleshlike properties, they'll do it through a mechanical process, the way it would be expected of a robot being.

Please Read
Emotions, they are huminoid, not robots. This means they are still following traditional transformers, a race of machines, only these have emotions unlike most transformers which only had glowing eyes and no eye brows or aany display of emotion unless it was from the chars. mouth.
kjeevahh
have you thought that they might be for facial expression, and that all of these pictures are completely neutral facial expression so they are just hanging in the middle like that
or alternatively.. windscreen wipers

The lines across the eyes make no sense at all. And the eyelids thing isn't a great explanation, as said, the line is right in their damn eyesight. Very strange.
Also, Prime's eyes and beak suck ass.
Akumaxv
I asked the same thing in the main thread, and apparently, they are "eyelids". Why they cover the iris part of the eyes, and why they even need eyelids is beyond me.
More proof that the designers just wanted to throw as much crap into the designs so they can brag about how complicated they are. There is no need for those lines across the eyes like that.
Still think Jazz looks cool, and the humanoid face proves it can be done and look cool.
Prime has a beak. Lame.
Hiro Prime
I'd like to know what the deal with the thin string of metal that cuts accross their eyes is all about. I know that they're an advanced alien race and all, but by my science, anything blocking a camera lense (or an eye lense) distorts what's being viewed.
