Unlike the previous official stand that Takara-Tomy offered, which used a peg to plug into the ports on many Generations and Movie toys, this stand uses a rounded claw which the figure can be rested on for display. We’re unclear how this stand might be sold more widely, but we’d imagine it is something that Hasbro Asia are manufacturing for the Asian collectors market. Hasbro’s makeover has involved plenty of social, running ads and creating audiences on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Snapchat. What’s more, it’s ramped up its content game online and offline.
For the upcoming release of Transformer: The Last Knight movie, it’s working nationwide with Walmart to create experiential store tours as well as digital activations.
For social, Hasbro has largely focused on Facebook, and its seven core brands—Transformers, G.I. Joe, Nerf, Monopoly, My Little Pony, Magic: The Gathering and Play-Doh—have used a series of interactive campaigns to attract 20 million fans.

Today we are going to take a look at something a little different, the Extreme Sets Headquarters Pop Up. This is a huge cardboard based diorama loosely based on The Nemesis from Generation 1. It features purple panels and lots of monitors and interface switches, perfectly giving you a base for your Decepticons to hang out in. Either on your shelf as a backdrop, or for use in your TF photography!
For those that don’t know, Extreme Sets have been putting out cardboard diorama displays for wrestling figures for a while now. They allowed folks to easily, and cheaply, create ring and crowd environments, locker rooms and props. They’ve recently got into the non-wrestling game, and their offerings are on fire right now. The first wave consists of the Deranged Alleyway, Sewer, Sector 9 (alien techy), and Dojo environments. Wave 2 consists of “The Building”, Subway Terminal, Abandoned House, and the Control Center (seen here). You can check out pictorial reviews for the non-Transformers ones over on The Toyark.

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. Santos Churata; a huge fan of the Transformers franchise uses his passion to design of eye-catching houses for the rich.
“Churata says that he has been a fan of superhero and robot comics and movies for as long as he can remember, and that his life-long passion has given him all kinds of interesting ideas for architectural design. Santos is not a professional architect, but claims to have mastered the necessary skills to design and build large, intricate houses by working alongside his father, an actual architect, since he was 16 years old. After seeing his previous work, clients don’t really care about his degree, and trust him to build them the most eye-caching homes imaginable.
Santiago Churata’s first house was built in the Alentejo neighborhood, and themed after Sentinel Prime. The facade was done in red, blue and silver and featured reflective black window shaped like robotic faces. The silver doors are shaped like the popular logo of the autobots, which also appears engraved into the floor.”

Hasbro has applied for another Trademark at the United States Patent & Trademark Office but this time for a trademark that is partially attached to the Transformers franchise.
Back with a brand new logo, Mighty Muggs seems to be making a comeback after several years of absence (commercial discontinuation).
- Trademark Name: Mighty Muggs
- Trademark Description: Heads, portraits, busts of men not in profile. Stylized men, including men depicted in caricature form. Rectangles that are completely or partially shaded
For those who do not know, Mighty Muggs are a vinyl–plastic collectible toy series made by Hasbro. The toys resemble super deformed versions of characters from the following franchises: Star Wars, Marvel Comics, Indiana Jones, G.I. Joe, and Transformers. There is a line of smaller figures, called Mini Muggs, as well as blank Mighty Muggs for customization.

From the Facebook of Ken Christiansen, we have a little treat for fans of the Titans Return line. Christiansen has shared with us some concept art for the Deluxe Monsterbot: Twinferno (aka Doublecross)! Comparing the image with the final toy, it’s clear that there were quite a few design changes all over, but a fun look at what he could have looked like nonetheless!

After doing some digging, 2005 boards user Optimus4EVER has discovered a rumored team-up between Transformers and Build-A-Bear Workshop. It was discovered after periodically calling about anything in the works as a promotion for the upcoming movie, and according to a spokeswoman, it has been rumored that something is in the works.
In addition to this rumor, a t-shirt was also found with an Autobot insignia on the front, allowing young Transformers fans the chance to share their love for the franchise with their furry friends!

Thanks to 2005 Boards member Rookbartley we have a look at a new secondary market Transformers item being found in the card isles of brick and mortar stores – Transformers Clickets. They are dog tag like items that separate into two pieces and can be mixed and matched. There are currently 12 different ones and they feature G1 inspired art work and packaging.
