Super 7 X-Ray Optimus Prime Revealed
It didn’t take much time for Super 7 to reveal their next project after they shared a teaser a few hours ago. Now we have our first image of their X-Ray Optimus Prime figure.
The image was shared via Super 7 Instagram account. Named “The X-Ray Action Figure – Optimus Prime”, we have a clear Optimus Prime body with visible insides to highlight the internal mechanisms of the character. We saw the prototype while back in January at Toyfair. Optimus Prime and Megatron were shown and they were supposed to be 12-inch tall.
Not much information about release date or price, or if it would be a retail or exclusive figure. Only the hashtags #sdcc2018 #transformers and #super7 can be read on the Instagram post. We should expect more details at San Diego Comicon the week of July 19th-22nd.

Transformers G1 Score Vinyl Repress Color Sample
While back in March this year, fans were able to buy the very first official release of the G1 score. It was released only in limited quantities as classic vinyl. You can check out all the release details here. The production was limited to 3 color variants and a full-pressing of only 2000 copies (and confirmation of no other format in the future). As you should imagine, the vinyls sold out in a matter of hours.
The recording company Enjoy The Ride/Toons announced a repress with new color variants. E-mails were sent indicating that the repress may be ready by July. Via a Tweet from Enjoy The Ride/Toons we have our first look at the new color sample of the upcoming vinyl repress in red, white, yellow and blue. Since the previous color variants represented a character, we could bet this new variant is based on Starscream. The Tweet also has a message: “repress coming soon”.
If you missed the original release, you can check out our complete gallery on this link, and you can see the mirrored image of the color sample of the repress after the jump. Then, you can join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Boards! [Read more…]

Unseen Generation 1 Mirage, Ravage, and Bluestreak animation models and color guides
Cerealgeek77 on Instagram has shared some interesting early material from the production of the original Generation 1 Transformers animation. Among the material posted to date is an animation model for Mirage which features some slightly different proportions and a very different head, complete with a head crest. This prototypical design takes a few more liberties with Mirage’s chest, making it smaller, and exposing more of the body beneath it unlike the final model and the toy it was based on. The alternate head design is also more of a departure from the original toy and the final animation mode, looking more like the types of heads featured on Prowl, Bluestreak, or Smokescreen. To round it off, the shoulder launcher was also on the opposite side and used a different look, that may have been less a missile launcher and more a beam cannon.
Ravage and Bluestreak meanwhile are in their final animation models, but sport different colorations than the final releases we got. Ravage is here depicted in blues and reds, a heroic pattern that seems reminiscent of a pre-Transformers Microchange deco, while Bluestreak is in his infamous “blue Bluestreak” deco which again was a Diaclone deco of the character. The pair suggests that, along with early catalog photography for Bluestreak, that at least at some point in production the decos of the Japanese toys were used for the production of the cartoon and TV commercials.
