Pop Culture Shock G1 Starscream Statue Prototype
Pop Culture Shock have shared our first image of the prototype of their G1 Starscream Statue.
The image surfaced via Pop Culture Shock Instagram account and we can see that this project has evolved a lot from the early sketches we reported sometime ago. Starscream is on a base as if he were flying and shooting one of his null-ray cannons. Pop Culture Shock commented on Instagram: “Starscream is printed. Don’t pay attention to the top of the base or jets fire as those will be hand sculpted”.
These G1 statues are planned to be cartoon-accurate and they will stand approximately 10 1/2” tall. We have already seen an amazing sample with Pop Culture Shock G1 Optimus Prime statue. In San Diego Comic-Con we could also see the sketch of the upcoming G1 Megatron.
Still no price or release date available, but you can now click on the bar to check out the mirrored image on this news post and then chime in your impressions on the 2005 Boards!
Toys Alliance Mega Action Series MAS-03 Soundwave Full Color Prototype
Thanks to Stanley Cheung from the Hobbymizer Hong Kong Discuss Facebook Group, we have our first images of the full color prototype of the upcoming Toys Alliance Mega Action Series MAS-03 Soundwave Full Color Prototype shown at the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong (ACGHK) 2018.
As usual with other previous releases (like MAS-01 Optimus Prime and MAS-02 Megatron) we have a highly detailed representation of good-old G1 Soundwave. Fully articulated and officially licensed, this action figure will sure please Soundwave collectors.
One interesting detail is the inclusion of a transformable Laserbeak which seems to be real cassette sized. A very nice addition to this figure. As you should expect, Soudnwave can open his chest to keep Laserbeak in cassette mode. Planned for release in 2019, we still don’t have any price or pre-order yet.

But there’s more to see in the future.
- Furai Model Deformer. Sweet little chibi versions of G1 Characters. Besides the previously seen, Optimus, Bumblebee, Megatron and Soundwave, we have our first look at Starscream.

IDW Star Saber in Full Color was on display (he will include a sword, rifle, shield and a normal Saber extra head), but our really big surprise came with the prototype of Victory Leo (beast mode) and the combined form of both action figures into an incredibly detailed Victory Saber. We are sure you will enjoy the images of these figure releases. As an extra bonus, we have a look at other upcoming figures like Tarn, Shattered Glass Drift (repaint of Drift, comes with 2 guns), IDW Optimus Prime (includes a massive sword) and shots of the accessories of some of them. A poster announcing IDW Don Figueroa’s Stealth Megatron figure was also seen.

Takara Tomy MetaColle Series G1 Transformers & Insignias
Via Tag Hobby Website we have the announcement and first renders of the upcoming Takara Tomy MetaColle Series G1 Transformers & Insignias.
The MetaColle (Metal Collection) series is a line of die-cast figurines (5 to 10 cm tall) from different franchises. We had seen our very first MetaColle Transformers with The Last Knight Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in 2017. Now it’s time for our very first G1 inspired characters on this line. As we can see from the images, G1 Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron are expected for release on October, 2018. Each figurine will cost only 1000 Yen ($9.00 approximately).
Besides the mini-figures, a pair of Autobot and Decepticon faction symbols are planned for the same price. A good price for the lost art of die-cast.
