Hasbro Pulse Combiner Wars Cover

Thanks to TFW2005 boards member nstanosheck, we’ve just learned of a new variant comic cover for IDW’s Combiner Wars part 4. This issue that is arriving from Hasbro Pulse as an exclusive recreates the cover of Combiner Wars part 1 using the actual toys of Superion and Windblade! You can see this neat cover after the jump and in the discussion thread linked below.

One more listing from Amazon.com, also for a release in December 2015! This time we have a listing for a collected edition of the Robots in Disguise series, based on the new cartoon. This trade paperback, titled “A New Mission”, is clocking in at 136 pages long, which by our estimate would mean it covers the first 6 issues of the series, plus the Free Comic Book Day issue. As before, there is no cover art on this one, yet – watch this space for more news.

Transformers VS GI Joe 3 Cover

Here is a listing which may interest some. Amazon.com has posted up a new listing for a Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover trade, due to be published in December 2015.

This trade is titled “Tyrants rise, Heroes are born”, and it carries the brief description of “Reprints the fan-favorite series set in World War II. Cobra Commander unleashes Megatron and the United States creates the G.I. JOE team to combat him.

Based on the description, this sounds like a reprint of the Dreamwave Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover miniseries – given it is presently the only such crossover to have taken place in World War II. This series was known for its dark, gritty feel – almost excessively so – and was one of a series of crossovers between the two franchises made in the early 2000s, the others being ones published by the then G.I. Joe rights holders, Devil’s Due, which were the ones that had the Autobots and Decepticons adopting alternate forms based on G.I. Joe vehicles.

There’s no cover artwork yet – so attached to this post, we have one of the original covers from the first Dreamwave publication of this miniseries. You can find out a bit more about the series in our Comics Resources section.

Windblade 5 RI Cover

Hot on the heels of the retailer incentive cover for Transformers #43, we have a look at the RI covers for next week’s More than Meets the Eye #43 and Windblade #5 via IDW’s Tumblr. Like the cover for Transformers #43, these covers are done in a faux travel advert style, offering getaways to such locales as Caminus and that classic tourist hot spot, Unicron’s Head. Please note these are just special covers IDW has done for fun and do not reflect the contents of their respective issues.

Transformers 43 Retailer Incentive Cover

We have for you a look at the retailer incentive cover for tomorrow’s Transformers #43! This issue sees Cosmos and Soundwave facing off, alone, on a space station far removed from the action on Earth and Cybertron.

The retailer incentive cover is rather cool – it is a fake flyer for a Cybertronian tour company! We got a glimpse of this on the inside front cover of the issue #43 preview over the weekend, but we have the full image here for you now. Check it out attached to this post.
