It’s that time of month, as Previewsworld has posted the previews for IDW Publishing’s May releases. In addition to the regular releases of Optimus Prime, Lost Light, Till All Are One, and Revolutionaries, we’ll be getting the final issue of Revolution: Aw Yeah! and a special surprise: the first installment of the Hasbro Heroes Sourcebook, featuring a collection of bios covering Hasbro characters from A to D, along with other bonuses. This month also sees the release of collections for the Autocracy Trilogy, the Transformers’ most Epic Battles, and the first six issues of Optimus Prime. One last iBooks preview for tonight, this time for the second issue of the team book spanning the Hasbroverse, Revolutionaries. Current Action Man Ian Noble finds himself stranded on the moon after the first issue’s events, and comes across a base built by some classic Hasbro villains. Another three-page iBooks preview has been released today, this one for Optimus Prime #4! Things are looking very bad for Cosmos, Rumble, and Frenzy aboard the Junkions’ ship after last issue’s cliffhanger, and in Cybertron’s past, Orion Pax meets once more with Zeta Prime. This issue sees MTMTE veteran Alex Milne return to Transformers comics, serving as fill-in on interiors for regular artist Kei Zama and reuniting with original MTMTE colourist Josh Burcham. iBooks has put up the three-page preview for the next issue of IDW Publishing’s Lost Light. As Brainstorm tries to contact Rodimus’s wayward team, Swerve and Whirl investigate the last of the Necrobot’s life support pods. What will they find in it? The full preview for the third issue of IDW Publishing’s Optimus Prime ongoing has been posted by Newsarama, as the Autobots’ investigation into the newcomers to Earth, the Junkions, continues; meanwhile, a flashback to a pre-war Cybertron shows readers Soundwave’s first meeting with Orion Pax. A few characters who had been regular presences in Optimus Prime’s predecessor book, Transformers, return as well. Read the preview after the break, and pick up the full issue on January 25th!
Solicitations for IDW Publishing’s April books are starting to be released, and CBR has the first two of the Transformers-related books. In Revolutionaries #5, the Revolutionaries team up with MASK to bring in the Atomic Man as it seems like we’re also getting more on the return of Hearts of Steel, and the lighter-toned Revolution: Aw Yeah! #3 has battles like Destro vs. Rom and team-ups such as Bumblebee and Acroyear.
