Just ahead of the issue’s release tomorrow, CBR has released the five-page preview for IDW Publishing’s Lost Light #8. It’s ladies night out as Nautica, Velocity, Anode, and Lug explore the markets of the planet Troja Major. How long before they find trouble? Not long at all, as you can see in the preview pages after the break!
This week’s Optimus Prime #9 had a special bonus included with digital copies of the issue: an ashcan preview for the first five pages of Rom vs. Transformers: Shining Armor #1! While the full issue won’t be released until July 19, in this preview we learn more of the first Cybertronian to join the Solstar Order, Stardrive–including how she first met Rom and her growing up under the Order’s care. Check out the preview pages, provided by TFW2005 board member Lucas35, after the break!
Following yesterday’s Lost Light preview, iBooks has also provided a preview for IDW Publishing’s Revolutionaries #6. Unlike most of the iBooks previews, this only contains two story pages and a character cast page, although interesting developments are afoot in those pages as the Revolutionaries call in Matt Trakker and Gloria Baker of M.A.S.K. to search for Mike Power, the Atomic Man. You can read the pages for yourself after the break, and then pick the issue up on its scheduled release date of July 26.
Another week, another iBooks preview, this time for IDW Publishing’s Lost Light #8. This month, the focus is on the book’s leading ladies as we learn more of Nautica and Velocity’s past on Caminus. Read the three-page preview after the break and then sound off on our boards before the issue’s scheduled release for July 26!
Apple’s iBooks has uploaded the three-page preview for the first issue of IDW Publishing’s crossover miniseries, Rom vs. Transformers: Shining Armor. Two hundred years before IDW’s current books, a Cybertronian ship is pursued by the Galactic Council into Solstar Order space, only to encounter none other than Rom the Space Knight! What chain of events will this meeting set in motion? This five-issue miniseries features the return of More Than Meets The Eye artist Alex Milne and Robots in Disguise colorist Josh Perez to IDW’s Transformers comics after a period of absence, with the first issue scheduled to be released on July 19. Until then, you can check out the preview after the break!
From CBR comes the five-page preview for IDW Publishing’s Optimus Prime #9, “The Life of Sideswipe,” due for release on July 12. After being comatose since the All Hail Optimus storyline, Sideswipe has finally awakened! As Sideswipe’s comrades welcome him back, however, not everyone feels like celebrating. Read the preview after the break, and pick the issue up this Wednesday!
In yet another batch of comic news, iBooks has posted its three-page preview for IDW Publishing’s Lost Light #7. In the aftermath of Megatron’s departure, Rodimus and the others make preparations to leave Necroworld and pursue the Lost Light. Will things go according to plan? Probably not. Read the pages after the break, and pick up the issue on June 28!
CBR has posted the solicitations for IDW Publishing’s September comics, as the First Strike event continues in its main miniseries and a host of tie-ins. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime’s book has the Autobots go on a mission to rescue one of their own while the titular character is busy with First Strike, Lost Light features some long-absent crew members returning to the Lost Light to find some big changes, and Rom vs. Transformers continues as the Autobots and Solstar Order must team up against the Decepticons and Dire Wraiths. Plus, the trade paperback collecting the first six issues of Lost Light and Transformers vs. G.I. Joe: The Quintessential Collection are solicited for release! Check out all of the covers and solicit descriptions after the break.
The full preview for IDW Publishing’s Optimus Prime #8 has been put up by CBR. As Jazz goes on live television for an interview to talk about his past and explain why the Autobots are on Earth, will he be able to convince humanity of their peaceful intentions? Unlike most of the full previews, there are only three pages of story, although two of those are still new content not in the iBooks preview. Also: a character that viewers of 1980s Hasbro cartoons might recognize makes his IDW debut! Read the pages for yourself after the break, and read the rest of the issue on June 14.
The second five-page comic preview of the day comes from Newsarama for IDW Publishing’s Transformers: Salvation one-shot, concluding the Dinobot trilogy started by Transformers: Punishment and Transformers: Redemption. As the Dinobots search for Bludgeon in the wastes of Cybertron to claim their vengeance on the mad Decepticon, they also find themselves having to stop the titanic Trypticon from flattening Iacon! Read the pages after the break, and pick the one-shot up on June 14.
