Together, can these two different forces solve… THE SECRET OF THE MUMMY’S TOMB? It’s robot mummies and Nazi androids abound in this issue due for release on March 15th!
The full preview for this year’s Transformers Annual is out courtesy of Comic Crusaders. As Optimus Prime and Pyra Magna try to resolve their differences in Cybertron’s Crystal City, the singularity that resides there leads them to discuss the early history of one person it consumed: Bumblebee. The iBooks preview for the next issue of IDW Publishing’s Revolutionaries series has been released, giving us an untold story of Soundwave’s time on Earth during the 1980s when he encountered Joe Colton’s Adventure Team and both forces came into conflict with a legion of ancient Egyptian mummies. Although we only have one page from the actual story this time, the cast page is a bit different from the previous issues’, giving more details on the history of the Adventure Team members. In addition, the first page of the story is already a Hasbro reference galore, as we get what might just be a glimpse at a certain visionary Hasbro series and a mention of… Binaltech?! There are many mysteries afoot, and hopefully Revolutionaries #3 will shed more light on them when it’s released on March 15!
The three-page preview for the new Transformers Annual is available courtesy of iBooks, and it looks like readers are in for some “Ghost Stories.” Optimus Prime, Pyra Magna, and Starscream all converge on Crystal City, the site of Bumblebee and Shockwave’s deaths at the end of 2013-2014’s Dark Cybertron crossover. As the singularity that swallowed them continues to reside there, is the mystery of the Bumblebee apparition that haunts Starscream about to be solved? It’s that time of month, as Previewsworld has posted the previews for IDW Publishing’s May releases. In addition to the regular releases of Optimus Prime, Lost Light, Till All Are One, and Revolutionaries, we’ll be getting the final issue of Revolution: Aw Yeah! and a special surprise: the first installment of the Hasbro Heroes Sourcebook, featuring a collection of bios covering Hasbro characters from A to D, along with other bonuses. This month also sees the release of collections for the Autocracy Trilogy, the Transformers’ most Epic Battles, and the first six issues of Optimus Prime. Things are looking very bad for Cosmos, Rumble, and Frenzy aboard the Junkions’ ship after last issue’s cliffhanger, and in Cybertron’s past, Orion Pax meets once more with Zeta Prime. This issue sees MTMTE veteran Alex Milne return to Transformers comics, serving as fill-in on interiors for regular artist Kei Zama and reuniting with original MTMTE colourist Josh Burcham.
