Now here’s an interesting entry, and something of a blast from the past. Revelation Records has announced a Record Store Day 2015 vinyl reissue of the entire discography of the 90’s era Erie PA hardcore band Shockwave. For those that don’t remember, Shockwave was a Transformers themed band through and through, with albums and songs named after Transformers, G1 audio samples, and a band logo featuring a masked Decepticon symbol.
The record is called The World is Ours: The Complete Recordings and is on double clear vinyl 12″ in a gatefold sleeve. In a really nice touch, it also includes a clear red flexi 7″ that can be used as a tech spec decoder on the album art.
This looks like a really nice and certainly unexpected release from this long dormant band. Check out the reveal video after the jump. [Read more…]

The design is apparently in the final stages, although the head sculpt is not yet complete, and there will be some kind of options to alter the accuracy of the homage to cartoon, toy, or comic.

UPDATE: We now also have a look at the vehicle mode as well, looking spot on to Sunstreaker’s modified Lamborghini design. Hit the jump to see the new pic! [Read more…]

Masterpiece Streak repaint to be Silverstreak?
TFW2005 sponsor Captured Prey is reporting that according to their sources, the upcoming exclusive repaint of Masterpiece Streak will NOT in fact be an homage to the Diaclone blue version of the figure as many had speculated, but an all silver version similar to the G1 Bluestreak toy. It is reported to be a lighter shade of silver than that on the first release, and without the black on the hood.
You can see the listing here.
Take this with a grain of salt for now as there are not yet pictures of the final deco, but it’s not looking good for those hoping to finally have a version of the fabled Blue Bluestreak. [Read more…]
