Flame Toys, responsible for the impressive and top quality Kuro Kara Kuri Transformers action figures, also started a new cheaper but non less impressive model kits: The Furai Model line.
Easy to assembly and with great detail ans poseability, these model kits were available only in Asian markets or online stores. Today we have some good news for you if you were interested in these model kits. 2005 Boards member almightymaximus found the Furai Model Optimus Prime (attack mode) at his local Barnes & Noble store in Connecticut. While being our first report, it seems this model has been out for some time.
You cab grab this model for $35.99 and it’s availabe online too, via Barnes & Noble website.
Happy hunting!

Just looks too weird and to a lesser extent it doesn't have a hole port in the posterior/bum for stands.
Starscream on the other hand looks pretty damn sweet. Will be getting Furai Starscream for sure though and the IDW Megatron one (supposedly?).

I believe Peaugh has done a review on this.

Starscream just dropped. Just ordered.
They ship from FL

Not worth the money for the lack of detail compared to gundams.

It is none of those things.
It’s a model kit around Voyager size and about HG complexity.
I’m waiting for either the IDW or G1 Optimus myself, but I’m liking what I see in regards to the construction. They do seem a little pricey compared to Bandai kits, but then everything kinda does.

Shame there isn\'t a B&N near me.

Wait what, really? I've been seeing this out in the US for months.

I thought about ordering this for awhile but I finally decided I just cant do it. Profile shots look alright but the front view just kills this thing as thin and narrow that waist is compared to all the rest of it. If the proportions were better I'd pick it up in a second

No it’s not masterpiece. It’s like around voyager size. And it’s not the action master design. It’s a new deisgn made for this line.
TFfangeek
So this toy is a Masterpiece scale version of the G1 Optimus Prime Action Master TOY?!?!?
No thanks, I will instead get the Siege version of Optimus Prime.
Cykill 1
A bit pricey for Anorexic Prime I say. Can\'t wait to see Bulimic Megs to compliment this.

So where would I shop to find this kit? I’m not sure if they’re out in Australia but I’d like to check where it could be.

If you're familiar with HG 1/144th scale Gunpla then this will be very familiar to you. If you haevt done gunpla before, then the jit isn't very complex. Its moless in color with good color separation and there are foil stickers for details. It is less stable than the HGs I've built lately, as the polycaps aren't up to Bandai standards.
New or familiar with gunpla, there shouldn't be any trouble building this guy. His looks and articulation are off the wall.

My friend who lives in Augusta, GA said he saw this at the Barnes and Noble in Macon too.
