Thanks to the great detective work of our very own Nevermore, we can share for you an update on the Possible Studio Series “Dino” (General Retail Release).
While back, a listing for a “Transformers Dino Action Figure” was found at Amazon Australia. According to the product code number (E3699) it seemed pretty safe to assume that it was probably a Studio Series figure.
Now, Nevermore found a new listing on Amazon UK for a “Transformers E3699ES1 TRA GEN Studio Series Deluxe Blue LIGHTN, Multicolour”. The code is the same as the supposed “Dino”. Notice that the name used here is “Blue Lightning”, which is the code name for Dropkick.
There is already a Studio Series SS-22 Deluxe Dropkick figure in the market with a helicopter alternate mode, so we could expect this release as a new Dropkick mold with Muscle car alt mode.
After this new information, it seems we may not get a Studio Series Dino. What do you think? Let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

C please!
Nevermore
Considering the product code number has been reassigned (which doesn't happen often), there are three possibilities:
A) Dino has been replaced wholesale, with no plans of a later release
B) There never were any plans for Dino, and the Amazon Australia listing is an error
C) Dino has been delayed.
Since we all have access to the same information, no-one without additional inside knowledge knows which of the three it is.

Not unexpected but there may be a silver lining

Will dino get pushed back to a later wave?
Caminus Prime
We need more car cons anyway, this Dropkick has a better chance to get a film accurate mold than the recent Shatter.

As much as it breaks my heart it looks like “Dino" seems to be indeed a second deluxe Dropkick According to Walmart's inventory system.

I want a Red Car in my Autobot team, but yet a Car Bonnie and Helicopter Clyde don't cut it.

I guess would make sense if dropkick is in the same wave as shatter
Purple Heart
Well, I’m not sure where that really puts him. Hasbro doesn’t exactly reveal figures in the order they will come out anymore, so it could be wave 6 or 7.
EDIT: Okay so Shatter is indeed wave 6, and is #40, inbetween Cogman(39) and Scrapmetal(41). So it looks like he might be in wave 6, maybe.
Jtprime17
Well if we go two DCPI numbers up deluxe shatter is the next figure listed in target’s system after Dropkick/Dino.
087-16-1669 is Dropkick/Dino
087-16-1671 is Shatter
Purple Heart
Any indication as to which wave it’s in?

Such a Tease.

Whichever one turns out to be true I hope it’s gonna be good

Update: Dropkick/Dino (which ever one it turns out to be) Has been added to Target's system.
In target's system he doesn't have a name tag with him beside the generic one "transformer" but the UPC matched the Amazon listings

Is that Keep Simple Irrelevant?

It’s cool dude. Honest mistake.

Oh. I was under the impression they both were. My bad.

Good. Cuz you totally didn’t get what I was saying either nor were you extrapolating anything valid as you were basing you’re argument on an opinion. The opinion being “everyone loves Dropkick”.
Shmoptimus Prime
That's a decent explanation but the movies didn't really get that across seeing as how hound, drift, and crosshairs weren't shown or said to have actually DONE anything on earth except wait for optimus. I just didn't like seeing a whole group of jerks.
Don't call me an ass. It's really rude and against forum rules.
Also, I SAID I was extrapolating from your comments, so you're not clever in pointing that out. You seem to have missed what I was saying but I'm too annoyed to continue to debate with you.
