Courtesy of Weibo user Notrab, we have a new bunch of in-hand images of the new Studio Series SS-26 WWII Bumblebee & SS-29 Sideswipe.
World War II Bumblebee is a new Bumblebee mold based on a concept art by artist Josh Nizzi for The Last Knight. He transforms into an armored car (instead of the Mercedez Benz car seen on the film), and includes a gun and his battle hammer. The figure looks very detailed and poseable, even with all the kibble he carries on his back.
We also have new extra images of SS-29 Sideswipe. Based on his appearance in Dark Of The Moon, this new mold really shines in great dynamic poses as we can see in the pictures.
To top it all, we have comparison shots of these toys with the rest of their wave partners: Barricade, Clunker Bumblebee and Crankcase in both modes. As usual with the Studio Series line, the scale between the toys works very well.
Check out all the images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

cool way to integrate the hammer into the alt mode

It does look like the whole dog house of the car is back there. Wonder if a third party will ever take a swing at it.

From earlier photos it does look like he has a sizable backpack but it's sort of hidden from most angles thanks to the shaping of his body and the shoulder spikes. As long as it doesn't throw off his balance too badly I can overlook it. It also could've been mistransformed since it was out of box on display at a con somewhere.

WW2 bee looks ok
sideswipe looks pretty damn good, the only complaint is lack of paint mainly on the head i can live with that grey everywhere else but not the head

I know right!? It looks so weird. I’ve never liked that thing. It’s just so weird.
You know I’ve been really tempted to keep writing bee for any similar sounding word but I’m too much of a grammar nazi lol.
Lazerwave
In robot mode. I do not see them in his robot mode pictures.

That's what I was thinking too. Provided the angles aren't hiding some massive backpack.

pay no attention to the car on my back!

Sideswipe might be the only one of these I pick up. He definitely has one of my favorite movie designs and while I prefer him to be red, I\'m glad they painted him a nice silver rather than leave him a flat grey as it really makes the figure pop. I also love that his arm blades can be removed and he comes with a pair of guns. Tbh though he\'ll always be displayed with the arm blades, but I appreciate the option. My only real concern is how well he will be able to pose and still be able to stand, here they\'ve got him in a few decent poses but I hope to give him some more dynamic poses. Also his backpack could\'ve been compressed better but it\'s not the worst we\'ve ever seen.

Sideswipe is a definite pick up….ww bee maybe because its a different mold from what we are getting…i dont mind the backpack

I'll definitely get SS and Barricade. I'm eh on the other two. Crankcase is disappointing but one could argue that the Dreads could be treated like Vehicons so I might pick it up to army build. WW2 Bee is neat and I might pick him up to fiddle with but I don't think he'll live on my main shelf. Might be a desk toy to fiddle with.

Only interested in Swipe and Barry from this bunch.
WWII Bee's far too backpack-y and shellformer-y for my taste to be saved even by this novelty alt mode.

I don't like the headsculpt they've been using on camaro Bee since TLK's second deluxe. It looks so weird, even more that BB's already strange face. WWII Bee's looks alright and so did Volkswagen BB's headsculpt, it's just that TLK deluxe and the first studio series one.
