And Tokyo Comic-Con 2018 has just started, and we have our first images of their impressive Studio Series display. We have new and clear images of the upcoming Leader Class Studio Series Dark Of The Moon Megatron.
Pics surfaced thanks to Twitter user @QVx9l3YcRlSEntk direct from Takara Tomy booth at the event. Of course, the Studio Series line was shown there. A big display with all upcoming figures was on exhibit. Fortunately, the highly expected Leader Class SS-27 Dark Of The Moon Megatron was there too, giving us a better look at the mold than the first images we reported. We can confirm that he will include his cloak, shotgun and an Igor figurine.
The display consisted of the first Studio Series figures plus several recent reveals and upcoming molds like ROTF Leader Jetfire, Jetpower Optimus Prime, ROTF Constructicons Rampage and Scrapmetal, Voyager Bonecrusher, TLK Deluxe Cogman, Barricade, Sideswipe and WWII Bumblebee among others. Studio Series line is sure coming in hot into the Japanese market.
You can check out the mirrored images after the jump and then join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Boards! Stay tuned for more images and coverage of Tokyo Comic-Con here on TFW2005!

Reminds me of one one of the Titans from Attack on Titan.

Man seems like Hasbro went for Robovision 2007 colors for SS Prime V2….a little too bright for me. I prefer the palette from SS Prime V1.

I'll be passing on SS DOTM Megatron, its thr weakest version of Megatron, beaten, defeated and shamed, so full of shame that he hides himself under a cloak and takes on an earth based alt mode. Hasbro TT need to give us a SS Mv1 Megs, I hope they are working on it

Well, a proper Dispensor figure that transforms into a soda vending machine would be nice.

Dispenser and Wire Tap beg to differ.

Don't forget Dicktron the Blenderbot. He had more screentime than many of the nobody's that have gotten figures.

*facepalm* and Frenzy. Heck they can even make a Leader Megatron with Frenzy included

I really hope they put out a studio series Megatron from Movie 1. He is the only Transformer not to have a toy yet. (minus the xbox 360, mountain dew, and cell phone drone).

They’re the same figure though, one is just remolded.

View attachment 28139998This picture leads me to believe that Studio Series Optimus Prime V2. is slightly taller than his predecessor , considering that the current SS Optimus height reaches just above Brawl's treads. If you compare the height of Brawl's treads with where the fork on Bonecrusher reach Optimus, he looks a tad taller… right? (The size comparison of V1. Optimus and Brawl is a courtesy of emgo316, since I currently display my own Studio Series Optimus in vehicle mode and don't have the will to transform him.)View attachment 28139999 View attachment 28140000

Also, there is no way Bonecrusher is as tall as Optimus. Prime is what? 28-30 feet? When Bonecrusher smashes through the bus, his head is just above the roof of the bus. Let’s say it’s an unusually tall bus: that’s 15 feet to Bonecrushers chin. So unless you are suggesting that his head is supposed to be 10 feet tall, I think Bonecrusher should be about 20 or so. This lines up with the rest of the fight if you watch closely. He comes up to around Prime’s pec. Really, all his mass goes to make him a very broad and the figure looks right there.
The thing with Bonecrusher is that it looks like he should be able to stand up more but he’s hunched by design.
Shmoptimus Prime
There's no way you could know that for sure from these pics. I suggest waiting to pass judgement until there are some actual comparisons out.

Ikr. In a line where scale accuracy is a major selling point Bonecrusher is a huge “fuck you”. He was even bigger than Prime in the movie (in terms of mass) yet here he doesn’t even come close to puny Deluxes like Ratchet and Crowbar. The hell

If they do that… God damn that could be' fucking terrible ( not good)

Well, with one MPM slated for Spring and the other for Fall, we should be seeing some sort of render for the Spring MPM any time.
That is, of course, they were both delayed too.
I mean, the MP lines delays have created one hell of a clusterpuck for March. I wouldn't be shocked if the Primal reissue got booted to March as well. So why not add MPM delays to the delay party.
Ahhhh, the life of a collector.

Bonecrusher looks like he's almost the same height as the original deluxe… wow
