A few days ago, Japanese publisher Hero X had announced a new 2019 edition of popular Transformers Generations Book. Now, we can share for you the cover of the upcoming book and we can confirm that pre-orders are up at Amazon.jp.
You can pre-order the book via Amazon.jp for 3100 Yen ($27.25 approximately). It’s expected for release this upcoming December 10th. While the listing shows no cover art image yet, fear not since courtesy of Autobase Aichi we have a look at the new cover art for this book. An impressing piece of art featuring the Power Of The Prime characters like Predaking, Abominus, Starscream, Volcanicus, the Prime Masters, Rodimus Prime and Optimus Prime. All of them drawn in a retro-style similar to the G1 packaging art. But there’s more than meets the eye here! Some of our users noticed that the Optimus Prime design seems to be based on the upcoming MP-44 Optimus Prime mold rather than the POTP Evolution Optimus Prime.
We should expect a lot of great content, concept arts and more, as usual with previous Generations Books. What revelations do you think we will see? The new Masterpiece Optimus Version 3? Masterpiece Hound? You can place your bets. While we wait for the release date, you can check out the amazing cover art after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

They are fabulous books, I've got about a dozen of them now

I'm really salty that I missed out on the pre-order of this, but maybe once the reprint starts making its way around to normal retail I can snag one off eBay or something. I dunno if Amazon Japan is any better about it but I never have a lot of faith in Amazon to get stuff so soon after it's marked as unavailable, so I'll just have to keep an eye out elsewhere.

Received the annual version of this and it is awesome. These MP44 pictures take it to completely other dimension as the details are really clear on this.

Thank you very much. Ordered one from Amazon JP and can’t wait to get it!

Ok! I sent him a message confirming my address as to be sure they write it correctly using google translate. He said they would be careful with address so let’s hope it all goes well!

If it let you ship to where you live, then you should be ok. Just like Amazon US, AJ has great customer service.

It was finally available to buy from @Thundershot ’s link just not from amazon JP directly. I ordered it from a seller there hoping everything will turn out to be a good experience.
God Orion
Maybe there is a topic about that book on the boards you can point me to? Also when does it get released?
God Orion
Ok, ordered the wrong one… and ordered it twice…(don’t know how though…) and I can’t cancel it so I’ll just send them back to Amazon JP when I get them… any other place where I can find the right one?
Thundershot
Well, the book THIS thread is about is just the latest “annual” of the original book. The original is by far the most comprehensive so I hope you ordered that.
If you didn’t order the original (being reprinted) here’s the link for it.

It says currently unavailable right now but I’m sure it’ll come back when it gets released.

I have always loved books that reference loads of parts or figures or cars. Like a dictionary. I guess it kinds of make me feel like I own the entire collection as I can have a look at them all when I want without having internet.
Had no idea whatsoever that this kind of book existed about Transformers. I have the Ultimate guide from Simon Furman but it doesn’t cover all transformers figures.
Just heard a Transformers slag’s podcast on YouTube after being intrigued by the title stating a transformers book being reissued. Felt like I have found the Holy Grail. After a quick search here to find the best link to order it, I ordered it and am excited to put my hands and eyes on this.

So I took Thundershot's advice, joined Amazon Japan, and bought the mook. Glad I did; it's just filled with great pics even if I can't read it. I can also make scans of the Binaltech comic if anyone's interested.
And on that note, here are some observations about the comic:
-It starts at the end of the previous Binaltech chapter, when Grimlock apparently forgot about the rest of the Dinobots, who were deactivated.
-The comic shows the entry from Ask Vector Prime detailing the creation (and destruction) of the duplicate Maximal shuttle crew from the end of the (American version of) Beast Wars, and Blackarachnia's spark being put into a Binaltech body by Unicron.
– Calcar is shown in a flashback scene attached to machinery containing an alien being floating in a jar. After doing some research I figured out that this creature is an Unleasher, used by the Decepticons to control the Dinobots and make them attack the Autobots, which was why they were deactivated. Calcar is kind of an odd choice, considering he was from the European G1 toyline and had nothing to do with Binaltech.
– Rumble is seen in his Alternators body, effectively making that toy a Binaltech toy too.
– Ultra Magnus is shown with his white MP-2 body. Does that mean that this toy has been repurposed as his Binaltech body too?
– Protector Optimus Primal's body is the Black Convoy/Nemesis Prime Alternators/Binaltech body, colored like his season 1 BW body and has his season 1 head.
– Bumblebee is shown with his unproduced Binaltech toy body.
– It looks like Carly uses a Cortexitron to either control Blackarachnia or merge with her.

How’s the Siege section in this?

I don’t read Japanese either. And on the main page click the globe in the top middle to make it English. Then create an account just like amazon.com. The rest is pretty easy. I just try to encourage people to get these books to help support the people who make them so we continue to get them. I have a full collection and they’re beautiful picture books if nothing else. I do look forward to someone translating them, though.

I would love to order it, but I don’t read Japanese and have no idea how to order anything on amazon.jp. But thanks for the link though
Thundershot
Here’s a link as Amazon Japan still has it in stock. Please order a copy and enjoy!

Just bumping with a friendly request for anyone who has gotten the book, if they could scan the comic pages. Much appreciation and thanks!

Awesome! Looking forward to the complete comic.
