A brand new featurette has dropped for the upcoming Transformers: Bumblebee movie and it prominently focuses on the G1 aspect of the film.
We are treated with a 360 degree render of Optimus Prime followed by a wonderful homage of his iconic “You Got The Touch” action sequence from Transformers: The Movie (1986).
We are also given out first look at Bumblebee Movie [very G1-ish] Arcee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Wheeljack and Cliffjumper.
Additionally, the Seeker next to Shockwave has undergone some heavy changes to make him look like Starscream. Instead of Blitzwing’s gas-mask/pilot-mask, the Decepticon on Cybertron now has a mouth and his white arms on the second trailer) are replaced with Starscream’s G1 blue arms. His new color scheme is a copy of G1 Starscream.
You can check out the featurette below and our screencaps, after the jump.

The G1 fans only had one movie, cyberverse looks like G1 because G1 is a kid friendly looking format to build off of for a kids show, and maybe bellpeppers has better stuff to do than read your (rather exaggerated) posts.
*record scratch* You might be wondering how I got here…

It's pure "OH SCRAP!!!" expression.

Is this the right thread to post screenshots from official sources, or no?

Lordy! Look all that detail.
I believe this is Optimus' face as the three Decepticon generals show up.View attachment 28166398

I hope that your design is used in the rumored OPTIMUS PRIME follow-up movie. I love it! Now that's the Optimus Prime I know!

19.5 ft Wow this is really one of smallest Primes in the movieverse.
And he kicks the most ass out of all of them.
He somehow survived being ganged on by no less than 14 decepticons. And I mean Decepticons who where actively trying to fight Optimus

Nobody told me there would be a test on tfw2005!

Oh boy, I love maff! (I'm a nerd)
Ok, so judging by illegal and promotional videos, Camaro Bee comes up to the top of Prime's "waist block". In addition, Prime's upper torso, we can estimate, is 1/3 of his total height since his legs+waist block seems to be twice as long as his torso which this picture from marketing material seems to show. Just keep in mind that he is in an A stance and that his back is crunched back, so they may be even longer but this is a rough estimate. Also, Bee in his cybertronian form+volswagen form seems to be shorter than camero Bee as seen in the second picture below. Since Bee is closer to the camera than Prime, we can estimate that cybertronian Bee comes up to the middle of Prime's thigh. Half of his thigh looks to be about 1/6 of the length of his waist block and leg combined. His waist block is also 1/6 of the length of his waist block+leg. So Bee is 4/6 the height of Prime's waist block+leg. 12 x (2/6) is 4 feet. We can estimate that Camero Bee is 16 feet since Cybertronian Bee is 12 feet which I believe is the height of Bee in Bayformers. So, then we divide 16 by 2 because his torso, as stated before, is 1/2 the height of his waist block+leg. His torso is 8 feet. So we add 16 and 8 and we get 24 feet. However, I feel like my measurements for the proportions of his body are a little off so we can give him 2-4 extra feet. So his total height is 26-28 feet which is his height in Bayformers.

If Bumblebee is 12 feet tall and comes up to the height of Prime's hips. How many feet would Optimus Prime be?
Also why does this sound like a math question?

From the still shots they look great.

So now I want a clear shot of the guy who was shot. Since we know who it is now

I assume he’s talking about Stinger from AoE.

Wait what? When was this?

While he had a diverse set of suits the live action movies have chosen the iconic original style. The same goes for most successful superhero franchises.
Transformers unfortunately has an army of Bay apologists who have little connection to what came before and are totally okay with unrecognizable designs and personalities.

That's a good point, but when else has Cliffjumper ever gotten any attention after G1? We had a red colored bumblebee in the live action movies before, and it wasn't even cliffjumper.
And TFP Cliffjumper was in all the promo material.
Nightrain
DC actually did try doing that by shoving Gordon into some kind of Batman mech suit.

Cool, so its not a reboot, just dif timeline that can also conveniently sell in the Studio Series line with the Bayformers.
Transformers are about change and will always reinvent itself in ways that has nothing to do with G1, to even compete with other brands sometimes…..like Botbots , Powercore combiners, and the Animorphs oh god.
Why should our cult classics be erased for those new ideas? Would be like DC scrapping Batman for a reinvented Batman that has nothing to do with Batman. Would'nt make sense to Hasbro ,the loyal fans or even by a buisness standpoint.
Thankfully Hasbro can do both at the same time so everyone can be happy.
So many choices these days, but it's the G1 related stuff that makes Hasbro the most money which in return allows them to make more Tfs.
Even the Bay movies would've done better if the bots were more recognizeable and Devestator wasnt reinvented with balls.

While wheeljack is a main cast in TFP, it only happened in the third season. He barely showed up in the first and second season.
And for cliffjumper, he only showed up in the first and second/third episode being a zombie and flashback in later episode. Does cliff still count as main cast?
