Reports are coming in from a number of sources that IDW have cancelled their perennially delayed Transformers UK Classics Volume 6. Originally solicited two years ago in November 2016 for a January 2017 release, it was the sixth of eight planned volumes that would reprint the Marvel UK Transformers comics, covering issues 181–214.
We have seen correspondence from IDW’s store which has confirmed the cancellation – a likely outcome given what is now a two year delay coupled with the departure of James Roberts from IDW – James was working on additional bonus content for the collection.
This also means the planned seventh and eighth volumes will also not see the light of day by association.

I was hoping the same. They got me hooked and now I won't know how it ends. Thanks a lot.

Yeah, this and GI Joe just stopped. Sigh.
Whatever. I'm at the point of just getting all these digital. I hate these thick TPBs.
Hope Marvel buys back the license and spits out Omnis like Predator and Aliens.
Q Prime
That's more or less the point of the definitive collection at this point, especially since its expanded into G2 and a few other things.

I was extremely disheartened as well, but we don't appear to be a large group of consumers. This thread is an example.
BUT…IDW is hemorrhaging money. Horribly. I wonder if it wouldn't be better for them just to do reprints (of G.I.JOE, TRANSFORMERS, etc.) instead of doing new work. I can't help but think that would be less costly.
Nightshade2000
I wish this would come back. And collect G2. Did anyone ever ask about these things at any conventions? I'm disappointed there's never been a discussion of some kind, just a store e-mail…

I really hope this series has been given a life line!

Yeah the GI Joe actually updated the Diamond list to an actual date, though now it's back to being constantly pushed back a week after week.

Hopefully this does see an eventual release.

I meant to comment on this the other week, but some of the GI Joe Real American Hero solicitations that were to be released, then delayed, then finally cancelled at the same time as the UK Classic Series have started popping up in the Amazon solicitations again (I believe the main one is Volume 9 of the Hardcover ‘GI Joe Real American Hero’ Marvel Series with the commentaries by Mark Bellomo, but there may be others)
Granted they’re only ghost solicitations so far, but to be put up again with new release dates seems to me that IDW are at least considering it. They were all cancelled at the same time (i’m assuming for the same reason, they were even announced as cancelled together) so if they’re considering one it seemed likely they’d reconsider the Transformers ones as well.

God loves an optimist, but please don't hold your breath!
I think it's more likely (and this is really unlikely) whoever has the rights at the time will just do another line of reprints in a couple of years from the start.

So, I contacted Scott Dunbier via Twitter to ask about the GI Joe Complete Collection HC and Transformers UK #6, to ask if they're still being rescheduled or if they are just cancelled. Here is his answer: "I don't work on those books but I just asked the person in charge of them and was told, "At some point but not soon." So keep the faith!"
So, no time soon, but they are not yet cancelled.

Yeah, I saw they moved (again) just down the street, but I don't think I ever made it inside after their last move, and finally seen they were just gone. I had considered going down and seeing if I could even find that flea market location on one of my trips up there, but just never have – what would be the use? It's a shame, it WAS really a happening flea market, back in the early 80s. Back when you could still fine "treasures" in a flea market…

That flea market was called Wurzel's, and it's a home for what's basically a cult now. Taurus is sadly gone too now, having died a slow lingering death in a new spot on Main Street and pretty much never being open since the owner was never there. I moved out of town years ago but it was a bummer to see it go.

I'm actually from Marine City. Not sure what used to be in New Baltimore, but they have Mike's Comics there now, recently moved onto the main drag. Loved going to Taurus as a kid though, whenever my parents would happen to go to PoHo. There was also a little comics booth (where I actually started with GI Joe, which led into everything else) in the indoor flea market that I *think* was out off of Range or Wadhams, I really don't remember. That was back in the 80s though.

Holy cats dude I'm from Port Huron too! Taurus was where I bought my first TF comics ever; it was a bunch of random issues in the middle of the whole King Grimlock thing that I bought because I liked the covers, and then I wound up owning every issue of Transformers Universe and getting fascinated by everyone's designs, personalities, and abilities. There was a place in New Baltimore whose name I can't remember that had a bunch of G2 comics that my dad would take me to sometimes. Kinda sad I never bought any of the UK stuff from Taurus, and now I'm super curious to finally start reading it.

same here. Taurus Comics in Port Huron (MI) didn't have a steady supply, but they did get a bunch in. I regret not buying all they had, but I did get enough to get me hooked. I was also able to get the full run of Action Force (GI Joe) as well.
Thundershot
My comic shop back in the day got some like that as well around that era. It had Death’s Head defeating Shockwave and crushing his brain module and Targetmaster Cyclonus and Scourge. Also Unicron on Junkion. Another had me laughing because the Sparkabots were called the Sparkler Minibots. It definitely opened up a new world for me.
