IGN Hungary has posted an exclusive Behind The Scenes video for the Hungarian dub of Transformers: Bumblebee movie.
The video not only gives us an in-depth look at the dubbing process, but also a good look at two pages from the dubbing script. Unfortunately, the script gives away a key scene from the movie and 2005 Boards Member Lazlow007 was kind enough to translate that for us. He is also the person who gave us the news tip.
Due to the SPOILER nature of the news article, you’ll have to take a look after the jump… to find out more.
Dubbing script translation:
Agent Burns: He’s running in the old mine! Cut him off!
Bumblebee: (moans and runs)
– they stop him –
Agent Burns: Easy….
Agent Burns: Don’t shoot.
Bumblebee: I don’t want to hurt anyone.
Agent Burns: Who called the air-force ?
Bumblebee: That’s….. not the air-force.
Bumblebee: Run!
Blitzwing: Did you think you could hide ?
Blitzwing: You will scream while you die…. like your friends.

-Shatter and Dropkick meets Sector 7-
Dropkick: The humans have multiplied….. Let me kill them.
Shatter: *whispers* Not yet!
Yes, you read that right. Bumblebee has a speaking part in the movie.
During the dubbing session, you can also hear the Hungarian voice actors voicing over the English dub and Bumblebee seems to have a voice very close to Will Friedle‘s from Transformers: Robots In Disguise and Transformers: Prime.
Considering what we already know about the movie, this scene seems to be from the beginning of the movie and seems to be hinting towards the storyarc of how Bumblebee lost his voice.
You can check out the full video via IGN Hungary:

I'm okay with Will keeping the part. He's done a good job with Bumblebee, but I would still love to hear Dan doing the role. I've heard him recently and he still sounds like Bumblebee.
Lazlow007
Yes, he was a jeep in this scene. It's in 1983 – 1984, after he lost this battle, the movie jumps a few years to 1987,when Charlie finds him.
Sablebot
Or it could be a retractable battlemask

Sounds promising. I may catch flames for this: I wish Dan Gilvezan was voicing Bumblebee. Wonder if this scene is when Bee has the Vietnam Jeep alt-mode??? And if so, it has to be before he and Charlie meet. . .Hopefully, this scene will remain intact in the U.S.A., Asian, and European final cuts of the film. . .

So what's Martin shorts role?
TF Hot Rod
So Im going to say that he lost his voice on cybertron(which I am fine with) this does line up with the bumblebee prequel comic and him talking on earth.
Azuzu98
I see what you did there.

Im Hungary to see the damn movie already…
SimbaTron
Shit, that actually might be Will, they sound very similar, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was actually him.
Lazlow007
2:48 It's more like a moan, but you can tell it's not Erik Aadhal, but sounds more like the voice from TFP, RID 2015.
CorePrime
Did they take the video down?
bigfootRULES
where in the video can i hear Will Friedle?
Azuzu98
Exactly my problem… This could be a nice surprise in the movie, but oh well
Decepticons…having conversation!? They will finally be treated like a character now!! Not just growling monsters!!
2Sixshot
I always saw it more of a face plate than a mouth
Lazlow007
Also, when the interview starts, the first scene they're dubbing is from the S-7 — Decepticon meeting scene. The guy, who does Dropkicks voice says:
– Dropkick: The Humans have multiplied….. Let me kill them…..
– Shatter: *whispers* Not yet!

Since he talks in the movie I assume he loses his voice in that scene as well I think

So I went and translated almost everything from that paper. Here is how the chase scene looks like:

I'm curious if Bumblebee will start the movie with a mouth, and then get the speaker face once he changes into the VW form…
I realize we've seen the speaker face on his Jeep form and his Cybertronian form, but it could be altered CGI (like in the TLK trailers, when Optimus was shown with purple eyes while fighting the Infernocons). It really doesn't matter to me either way (as I've said, I actually prefer speakers over mouths), but I could see it happening.
dragon
I like that more violent don’t see that very often in movies anymore
