Back in April, we brought you the news of a new Transformers trademark.
Thanks to the latest issue of the Toys”R”Us (Malaysia) catalog, we are treated with our first look at Transformers: Mega Mighties.
From the looks, Mega Mighties seems to be super-deformed, non-transforming action figures with limited articulation similar to the Titan Heroes/Guardians toyline. Aimed at preschoolers, the line features Bumblebee and Hot Shot from the upcoming animated series Rescue Bots Academy.
Additionally, line doesn’t seems to be catering only to the Transformers franchise. With the same image, we can see Marvel action figures in the same assortment as well.
Each figures is priced at RM 49.90 (approx. US$ 12) for ages 3 and up.
We thank our 2005 Boards Member FigureGunplaFan, for bringing us our first look at the line.

To think Hasbro used to make fully articulated hefty 12" toys like Action Man in the past…..
Stylized shampoo bottles, what an improvement!
But not bad toys….

I will, thanks!

Children like toys.

Bumblebee and Hotshot look cute. Might have to consider these for random cutesy display pieces. With the other two new cadets getting them later, might be cute to have. Kind of hope they do a Rescue Bots styled "Instructor Windblade" later now to go with Bee.

At least they are (somewhat) a step up from the bubble bath bottle figures that we were already used to getting. The sculpts are unique and look good for what they are (instead of a simple copy and paste), and the paint apps look good and are sufficient. Edit: Compare them to these monstrosities:

Why does this exist
BlackHawkOmega
It literally says "Ages 3 and up" right there

Apparently they have articulation to do exciting poses.
Like…
-Raising your hand in class.
-Tilting your head to the side in confusion.
-Rotating their waists a complete 360o degrees.
-… And dirt.
Enjoy these new toys from Hasbro, Everybody!

Glad to see Hot Shot still get some love. Heres hoping the Rescue Bots Academy show is as good the original.
EDIT: Have we even seen any RBA toys besides these? There seems to be little to no info about the series since it was first revealed.
