I still haven't watched Animated, except for maybe the first episode. I frequently see good comments about it, so will watch eventually.
I'm already up to 8 episodes of Cyberverse.

No that is not on me that's on them. I can guarantee you Hasbro or some higher up told them what age the show was targeted at so they knew full well what they were doing. Really if they think showing brutal deaths/body horror like that is okay to like 6-year-olds, that's pretty messed up. The ratings are there for a reason. It's kinda weird as soon as it becomes less human it's okay since whatever you are if you're self-conscious your pretty much the same. But I guess it's just hard for older people to understand how it feels for younger kids. Not that these writers have been seen doing much good in the first place anyway..
Well if it would only go on colors to make an assumption he might as well be an Autobot cause he looks like one. Just doesn't fit either with what Megatron seems to want either.
Deadend
It's got some TF Animated charm thrown into the mix. Episode 10 is a blatant treat. That's all I'll say.
And it looks like it's going to air out of order on two episodes also. From some recent listings (unsure on how accurate!) they are bumping back Sabotage by 2 episodes and pushing forward the Matrix episode by 2 episodes.

Thanks!
I'm 4 episodes in now, and am surprised how good it is! Other than G1 and Transformers Prime, this is probably my favorite TF cartoon so far. I'm looking forward to the rest!
The only VERY MINOR complaints I can think of is the face designs for Optimus, Wheeljack and Grimlock. I always prefer the mouth plate look. I wish the voice for Wheeljack, Grimlock and Soundwave was more like G1 also. All the other voices sound great, though.
Kamen Ranger Bat
She does come back at the end but it's like her body forming from a light.
Her death for context. View attachment 28111931
Honestly when you make a character that's not a person, ratings on that get blurred
Deadend
I thought that was the one they brought back at the end of the show, showing her body turning back to normal. Ah well, but yeah the stone thing then makes it slide.
Kamen Ranger Bat
I agree about the robot arm thing
In the case of kendrix, she wasn't turned to stone. Her body was destroyed by the Savage sword and the pink psycho Ranger. She was a literal ghost in show.
And yeah she had leukemia iirc.
Deadend
Yeah, but that was 90s, and was also a temporary write in because the actress got sick so her character was turned to stone. Plus she did come back later. Zordon's death though. Or how often Alpha 5 was mutilated. Or other similar "non-human" injuries/deaths do fit that though.
Which goes back to what I was saying about ratings/censor people and where the limits are.
Animals or humans get a different reaction, but according to the people who set ratings, you can literally rip an arm off a robot and beat them over the head with their own arm, and the people who set ratings shrug. Same to extra terrestrials so long as it's not gore.
Kamen Ranger Bat
Or how about the death of the pink lost galaxy Ranger.
Deadend
That baby carriage fight scene in power rangers RPM. You don't get much more disturbing than that. But since all you see is the carriage, it tends to go over people's heads there is an implied baby in there.
Kamen Ranger Bat
Just to add to your list of shows
Gravity falls
Avatar the last Airbender
Voltron
Batman the animated series
Even power rangers has some pretty dark episodes and that live action.
Deadend
18 for season 1/Volume 1.
Unknown as yet for season 2/Volume 2.
No, that's more on you thinking kids can't handle things(to each parent goes their own judgement call). Like I listed off on other toons, there are plenty of dark kids cartoons. Many much darker than even this episode. This has the same age rating as those. Like I said, visual appearance of the toon often gives it more room to move. Look at Adventure time. That is one dark show when you really think about it and the episodes. But it passes because of aesthetic. Same to Steven Universe that features far more death in one episode than this did as well as much darker things involved too about torture. Still aimed at younger. All because of aesthetic that makes them pass.
Like Steven Universe, Transformers gets an age rating pass because they aren't humans or animals. Since they are "Robotic lifeforms" they get more room to move on the stories to do things. Steven Universe gets away with things like this too because they are gemstones. The writers are doing a fantastic job at making a great show. If you have an age rating complaint, take that up with the ratings board, not the writers. The episode has to pass through censors and checks before going to air to ensure it's still matching the rating.
Outside of the purple. He had the same color scheme as a box of Marlboro Lights. Same edged pattern too. Until he's officially named later. Could be anyone. He's not blue like Slicer, and doesn't quite match Blackjack either. Could even be Downshift or Big Daddy. The purple used seemed more like a way to allude to he's being controlled by decepticons without using an insignia. And then episode 10 seems to allude to why since episode 10's flashback takes place before that and after that.
So for now, he's a fun nod. But yeah, the wiki isn't official, and fan guesses are fan guesses. Until officially named he could be any bot. For right now, he's a nameless bot.
lazerface
Does anyone know how many total episodes there will be?
maurice
Well, he didn't have a Decepticon logo and their just colors. And the wiki isn't official source anyway.
fishpop
The wiki says he's coloured like Blackjack, so… :/

Really liked this episode. Didn't realize it was going to be so serious. Very intentional meaning on the name. The "physical comedy" at the very ended seemed a little out of place a few seconds after what just happened. Should've ended a few seconds sooner, just being the serious music.
Still, great episode!! Left no question about Blurr though
I was hoping for a John Moschitta cameo.
maurice
Slipstream and the seekers are fine. It didn't look bad at all and they are in later episode descriptions anyway.
maurice
I didn't mention the appearance though. Just the age rating. So that kinda is on the writers.

I\'m loving Cyberverse, my only complain is that the toys suck and don\'t do the cartoon designs justice.
