Following our first video of the upcoming Transformers Masterpiece Movie MPM-07 Movie Bumblebee (Beetle), now we have a possible promotional stop-motion video to share with you.
The video surfaced via TFBizonline on Facebook, and features a very nice stop-motion animation of this new Masterpiece with a step-by-step transformation from robot mode to the iconic Volkswagen Beetle, showing all the gimmicks, accessories, and poseability. According to a rough Google translation of the post, this new Masterpiece may be released in October. As usual, take it with a grain of salt until we get an official confirmation.
You can check out the video below and then join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Boards!
Update: The official commercial for the Stop-Motion Animation video has been revealed with additional info on MPM-07 Movie Bumblebee: The toy features 26 points of articulation with 10+ diecast pieces. View attachment 28191556 I've never noticed this till today but there is an extra hinge on the front part that forms the chest that lets them angle up. maybe this has been posted already

Saw this in Hamley’s in St Petersburg, Russia today. Three of them on the shelf – always nice to see Masterpiece Transformers in an actual shop! Asking price of around 11,000 roubles ($166) was a bit too rich for me, though. Did really enjoy the movie, so I was still tempted

I don't own the Hasbro version but my Takara version has black screws.
Paco Grande
That was true for sure on MPM-3 but is that confirmed for MPM-7 as well? Has anyone seen both in hand? Thanks!

Not sure if this is widely known. But it personally blew my mind a bit. I guess Bee does infact have a double knee joint? It’s super high up his hip but it’s there with a ratchet and everything.

Thinking about selling mine and getting the 3a toy.

My package is out for delivery, which seems incredibly fast for free shipping from Hong Kong. Assuming it arrives in one piece, freemantoys really hit a home run, so I wanted to share.

Yes… and the use of black screws on the Takara version.

Am I correct in thinking that the Hasbro and Takara releases are identical with the exception of packaging language?

I had told myself that if I liked the movie, I'd treat myself to this guy. freemantoys on ebay has it for $60.99, and ebay is running a 15% off coupon (POPUPSAVINGS), so I got out the virtual door for $51.84 shipped. It's my first Masterpiece, and I think I am going to limit myself to G1 live action renditions, which should keep it manageable.

He's my favorite of the MPMs, but now having seen the movie I really wish he was more accurate to that design. Oh well you will still have fun with him for sure!

I was on the fence about grabbing this guy from Amazon for $80, but when I was pre ordering the new MP Prime from AmazonJP I noticed the Takara version was on sale. I couldn't pass him up for $65 Shipped.
