Attention New Zealand fans. The new Transformers: Cyberverse Ultra Wave 2 Shockwave And Shadow Striker figures have hit shelves At New Zealand Retail.
Shockwave is a bigger and more articulated mold compared to his smaller Warrior class toy. Shadow Striker is a new character for this line and she transforms into a dark purple car. With a 6-step transformation, it seems a simple but fun toy. She has an interesting “Stealth Sniper Shot” gimmick which deploys a pair of big cannons in vehicle mode.
Both figures were spotted at The Warehouse stores in Milford and Dunedin South by 2005 Boards users Inikalord and ssjkazer respectively.
Happy hunting! You can check out the images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

His head is on a swivel, so he can turn 360°. Wish it was a ball joint but works well enough.

I wonder if shockwave\'s left arm has a elbow joint and a moveable head?

Is this Ultra class Shockwave like the warrior class one, where it lacks head articulation?

From the looks of it, a shapeways clip-on gun should be easy.

Great new concepts of these toys, yet they cheaped out at making them actually truly great.
Inikalord
Indeed, though I understand why since it needs to do some folding to fit inside his torso for robot mode.
If Cyber Battalion Shockwave can get knee add-ons, maybe this Shockwave can get some sort of clip-on gun.

It's a shame that arm doesn't have a swing out gun hand like the warrior class, then if you want the elbow, but still want a gun hand, you would be covered.

That’s fucking brilliant!

MP Shockwave gets appreciated more & more because of these.
If buying a $130 + figure is what it takes to simply get some good poseability for such a classic beloved character.
Even G1 SW had some elbows.
He still looks fun and made for kids. When i was a kid i hated He Man because their poseability sucked.
Its also why i chose the gijoe figs over the star wars ones. Kids know what they like & want.

No left elbow joint?
Sheesh. Shockwave gets shafted once again. I'm guessing the attack name isn't the only Energon homage then.
(that Siege figure better be good…)

Nice.
Inikalord
Ball-jointed, so yes he does indeed.

I am loving this current G1 vibe in todays TF merch!

I find it amusing Shockwave's attack is called Shock Blast. I wonder if that's reference to Energon Shockblast.
Runamuck86
I watched a youtube video of the Grimlock which claimed to have quite a few steps but in reality it was about half as much . Raising each arm ( i think ) counted as one step each .
Digger
At least he has an elbow. I was wondering, does he have ankle tilts? It looks like he did in the stock images.
Inikalord
If you can handle him not having a left elbow joint, I say go for it. He works pretty well as a Voyager-ish Shockwave. You can also store the cannon on his back and pull out the arm-lef he uses for tank mode if you wanna use that instead.
