Care of Snakas Blog we have our first stock images of Takara Tomy MetaColle Series G1 Transformers and Insignias to share with you.
The MetaColle (Metal Collection) series is a line of die-cast figurines (5 to 10 cm tall) from different franchises. We had seen our very first MetaColle Transformers with The Last Knight Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in 2017. Now it’s time for our very first G1 inspired characters on this line. G1 Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron are the selected characters. The figures have limited articulation (only neck and shoulders), but in the case of Optimus and Bumblebee they have an interchangeable right hand (with weapon or pointing hand).
Besides the mini-figures, a pair of Autobot and Decepticon faction symbols are also shown. They have the molded insignia both in the front and the back.
These figures are expected for release on October, 2018. Each figurine will cost only 1000 Yen ($9.00 approximately). A good price for the lost art of die-cast.
You can check out the mirrored images after the jump, and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

Good choice! Mine are being shipped today, along with Legendary Prime, & MPM7. Already have the full Metacolle Transformers (movie) lines so far. I think ur right though, Takara will continue & fill out the ranks of G1 like they did Star Wars & Marvel. And since its using the Trans & formers logo stacked, be season 1 Japan 1985. Im guessing Prowl, Starscream & one of those molds repainted for wave 2. Then wave 3, vice versa to fill out rest of those molds repaints. By wave 3 well have Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Prowl, Bluestreak, Megatron, Thundercracker, Skywarp. Wave 4 will probably be Soundwave and Ratchet/Ironhide.

Where can we get this online in the US?

I've just gone an ordered Bumblebee, as well. I meant to wait for my Optimus and Megatron to turn up, but I figured I might as well go for it.
The Metacolle Marvel and Star Wars lines are still going pretty strong, and the Japanese tend to have a thing for G1. They can't be releasing just Megatron without any of his minions. Decades of Transformers experience tells me that the next three Metacolle 'G1' Transformers will most likely be be Starsceam (think of the endless Seeker repaints), Soundwave and……..Windblade?

I would suggest to get Bumblebee now while hes available considering the DOTM Metacolle line sold out FAST and listings were taken down quickly, unlike The Last Knight and Age of Extinction Metacolle lines lol, its unlikely Bumblebee will last IF tou can him still. The day they went up for preorder they sold right out. I know that they have plenty Marvel and Star Wars figures but like the DOTM Metacolle line the G1 line is limited supplies. We can blame that on Takaras original character choices.
Another reason to get G1 Bumblebee, is if we as buyers buy all 3 them together, retailers will see fans want all characters at once, &think its more of a completionist line rather than a pick & chose line. Therefore making another 3 or maybe even 4 bots! And not just 1 or 2 at most, at a time, like their previous Transformers Metacolle line. Of course its up to you just spitballing

Definitely want them too

We should have all these guys out soon. I preordered Optimus and Megatron. I contemplated getting Bumblebee, but I'll only get him if they release the rest of the G1 crew. Plus, there's the scale issue. Metacolle figures tend to be around the same size (though I'm pretty sure this 'Bee is smaller than the other two figures), which will be a bit annoying with a possible figure of a character like G1 Jetfire. Or Devastator.
Still, I'll be looking out for more figures in this line (Top of Wanted List – Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave, Grimlock (Having fgures of all the Dinobots in their alt-modes would be pretty cool), Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus). And I hope we get an Ark, too.

Finally, we will have the definitive, toon-accurate versions of Masterpiece Prime, Bee and Megatron!!

I’ve got some Star Wars ones and they are pretty cool. Usually the torso and legs are diecast while the arms and heads are pvc. Higher quality than the old Hasbro Titanium figures. I’m down for these.

A couple of corrections to the front page
With no dissing the front page I just figured since I have experience with owning all previous ones, I’d help out. These actually have 4 points of articulation. A head swivel, 2 shoulder swivels, & a waist swivel. They don’t have removable hands. Their hands are molded in to the arm. The trigger finger is placed on the side of the gun and the other 3 fingers wrap around the handle. Their weapons are removable though. Which also gives the appearance of the pointing finger.
I am definitely interested in these! I have been hoping for 2 years now that they would make g1 MetaColle figures, after having the MetaColle line in my collection and getting the feel of these figures.
It be really cool if Hasbro followed suit but making these all plastic

Reminds me of the PVC SCF Figures

im not here… *waves hands in circular motions* you didn't SEE anything… *slowly sinks down*
I wouldn't be interested in the WHOLE season 1 cast, but definately some other bots besides the 3 shown here.
THATS what they remind me of! Couldn't quite put my finger on it, thanks man!

Since when did Heroes of Cybertron return? XD

Beat me too it but it was the first thing I thought of was the PVC's. Die cast seems overboard and doesn't look good to me compared to the plastic versions.
Soundwave superior 21
Fancy meeting you here. By yeah why don't they? That would be great if the could even do the entire season 1 cast. I know I'm asking for a lot there but still.

sooooo, metal HOC PVCs?
