Via website flickeringmyth.com we have a look at the Transformers Bumblebee Movie Prequel #3 full preview.
Titled “Energon Is Forever”, as a reference to the classic James Bond movie: “Diamonds are forever”, this issue continues the adventures of Bumblebee as an agento of the British intelligence agency P.R.O.G.R.A.M.M.E. under the codename “Goldwheels,” partnered with Agent Omega Zero, David Reeve.
As we first saw on the ITunes Preview, Bumblebee is engaged in a battle with Stars… Blitzwing. From what we can see from his design, we could say that Blitzwing is indeed a triplechanger with a jet and a tank mode. You can see parts of the tank in the robot mode, but we only see him transform into jet mode. On this full preview, Bumblebee have to face Blitzwing to try to save the day.
We should keep in mind that there may be changes for Blitzwing character on the film, so we will have to wait for another image or trailer to confirm if he is indeed a proper triple-changer. While we wait for that, you can check out the mirrored preview after the jump and share your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Hope to see more Wildrider!

I mentioned before——it is Harrier-esque, but it is a fictional design, and not a Harrier.

Maybe like with Sentinel Prime in DotM teaser, color has been misleading for purpose.

I've been reading TFW for approximately a decade. If there was any mention in the threads I read, it was miniscule and easily passed over apparently.

If this is the first time you’ve heard the joke clearly you haven’t been around the forums enough.

Blitzwing looks like a Harrier to me.

If so, it would make sense, as the story is set in 1960's Britain, right?

First time I've ever heard this "joke". And YOU love to hate, not every person on the planet.
Blam320
It says that the slightest touch and everything explodes. Sound like someone we know and love to hate?

thats what ive been saying too. Great minds think alike

If the color scheme is based off any real jet paint scheme, based on the time period, it would be the US Navy Blue Angles F-4 Scheme(s)

Also, the comic book characters are so different from the movie form. At the end of each prequel comic they make it that the character is badly damaged and repairing them so they would look the same in the movie. So I'm guessing Blitzwing could be a triple changer in the prequel comic. But at the end he could face damages and get repaired for the movie, but only maybe he is not a triple changer then. I would take it back if I saw him in his tank mode too in the movie or next trailer.

But it says that the planet and/or it's people are flimsy, not the robots.

Regardless of how a model kit's box-art shows it (which is literally just that–a drawing, not a photo), the real thing was very blue, and not purple:
Digger
I’m seeing purple but okay. Just wondering if my cgi colour change theory is correct. So if he is changed to be less starscream then what colours can the jet feasibly have to be more like blitzwing.

It's a running joke that Bay's take on the Transformers has an excessive amount of explosions and robits that fall apart if a human so much as sneezes on them.
RodimusSupreme
Pretty sure it's not.
Also, why is the news article associated with this thread and piece of news back at the top of the TFW2005 Home Page?
TLP
Like I said, Bay's bots break like wet tissue paper.
Deadend
Playful subtle one, but yes. Not meant in a mean spirited way.
QuintusTheExaltedOne
That’s bright blue and yellow. Blitzwing is tan and purple.
