The official Transformers Instagram and Facebook accounts have uploaded a new video Leaked From Cybertron Video featuring Hasbro’s design manager Jhon Warden presenting the Power Of The Primes Leader Class Evolution Rodimus Prime. The video brings us some very interesting concepts and early ideas that were proposed for this figure.
First, we have a curious “enhanced vehicle mode” where Deluxe figures would integrate and combine over Rodimus alt mode. We can spot Dreadwind and Blackwing on the sides, and Deluxe Jazz on top. On the top rear part we can see a non-produced figure that seems to be in Starscream colors, but with some parts and design similar to Star Saber.
On the second concept art, we can see three of the Deluxe Dinobots attached to the sides and top of the trailer, but we also have a jet connected to the front of the truck. This jet seems to be the concept of Titans Return Prima we saw sometime ago (retool of the Black Shadow/Overlord mold).
To top it all, we have a look at a cool Armored Mode Rodimus Prime, which would have added extra parts to the robot mode.
Some very nice ideas, but designers chose to use the Hot Rod into Rodimus Prime gimmick in the final toy, activated by the Prime Masters (sold separately).
Today’s video follows previous detailed views of Studio Series Blackout and Grimlock & Power of the Primes Dinobots Slash, Sludge, Slug (G1 Slag), Snarl, Swoop, Grimlock, Predaking and Studio Series Jazz, Brawl, and Grimlock.
Check out the clip and some HD screencaps below and then join to the discussion on the 2005 boards!

They killed Slash’s design.
The fact they’ve been able to create both Slash and Scar making two modern Dinobots that feel just at home on the team? Legit one of the coolest additions to the fandom and just so perfectly done.

TBH I can take or leave ankle tilts, I know some people swear by them but to me they are an okay, but not required, feature. I've rarely found myself going "damn I wish this figure had ankle tilt".
Ita funny though, yo look back at Prime Wars and remember how rare things like wrists actually were (I think only a small handful of figures had them). PW was the last time a line had a major gimmick that wasn't sectioned off the the year's respective "-izer". It's honestly made Legacy's years just sorta blend together.

He's still really good, easily the best POTP Terrorcon
Even his Seacon retooling in Lobclaw, doesn't quite hit the same high
His hand/claw gimmick is so fun, I don't even care about wrist articulation
Ankle-tilt is literally the only thing missing, for me
