We’ve finally had confirmation that Transformers: The Last Knight’s Legion class Hound figure has made his way to US retail. This figure was intended to be released last year, and was released internationally alongside the Legion class Dragonstorm, but while Dragonstorm did eventually make it to the US, it was as a part of a different case assortment that excluded Hound – leaving Hound a much harder to acquire figure compared to the rest of the Legion class figures.
However, this tale of last year’s stocking nightmare when it came to the movie toys has a happy ending, as we’re getting word Hound is popping up in Ross stores, such as in Lakewood, WA. We’re sure he’s also been coming in under the radar for a while in some of these stores, but we thought to highlight this given the atrociously bad distribution last year.
Happy hunting, one and all.

What makes you think "it gets better from here! " ???
PotP has been one of the worst distributed lines in memory, with a lot of TLK wave 1 junk blocking orders. It'd be fine if TLK failed and had issues… but the problems invariably spill over into the more-desired lines. And I say "desired" of any line that can sell out for weeks/months (but admittedly, it could be that Hasbro doesn't like shipping Generations product).
I used to buy a lot of Hasbro product (i.e. 3-4 copies of the better toys), but I now find myself skipping a lot of releases. The distribution problems have ruined the fun. I don't pre-order my Hasbro toys because there's no fun in that. Plus, as great as it is to support online shops like BBTS, I don't like the idea of seeing my local stores shutter up. That's what happens when everyone orders from Amazon and BBTS: local stores go out of business and people then put on this act of "what? TRU is closing? No way! How can they close when I never shop there anymore????"

Hound really is one of the worst legion figures ever released. Bad leg articulation and baffling choices with how to use the paint budget (no windscreen, but the sides of his arms?!). Dragomstorm on the other hand is a delight.

Well, Hound is the big news. The wave with Hound and Dragonstorm got skipped otherwise. I also saw legion Dragonstorm earlier this week but knew he had been at US retail already.
Max Tower
Oh I didn't know they were rare – my Local B&M had a load of them.
He's quite a fun little figure though.
It's a little frustrating being a Legion/EZ collector though as there is still loads I can't find like ROTF Wheelie, DOTM Soundwave, The entire Last Classics wave with Ultra Magnus in it, The G2 Megatron reissues, Shockwave, even a few of the Transformers Prime ones.
Oh well I guess I do OK otherwise.
BB Shockwave
Took this long? He has been out for half a year here.
Cykill 1
Cool. I didn\'t want to pay the extreme prices of evilbay for Dragonstorm. People are asking over $30 for it.
Fallout
finally, masterpiece hound!
LegoLover58
Huh.
I got this guy in February at the Kroger that's 15 min. from my house.

This.
Wave 3 never reached my area, the only reason I was able to get goodies like Cogman, Hot Rod and Crosshairs is because their release coincided with a family trip to Japan.
But hey it’s so much better imo than DOTM. Soundwave and Wheeljack’s cancellation still pisses me off to this day.

Now quick, send them back to Hasbro… that Legion Hound figure is an abomination of nature. It's like they spent all the budget they had for cool-factor on Dragonstorm and left this little pile of sad called Hound.
Though if I can find some cheap Dragonstorms to add to the one I got on ebay a while ago, maybe I'll make a little army of tiny Dragonstorms because why not.

I miss @Sol Fury's writing style. While @Black Convoy is the workhorse on the news feed these days, his style feels a lot more polite/suit n' tie, while the writings of guys like Sol and @ORIO feel a lot looser and homier.
Toyzaremine
yeah found one step changers tlk as well

I still can't find any PotP deluxes past wave 1 at my local retailers. And the Transformers section is increasingly being encroached upon by Power Rangers and Ben 10 Reboot toys.
Granted TLK Legion Hound is the most extreme case to date.
PlanckEpoch
Oh wow, this was news? I bought Dragonstorm at a Ross a few days ago. Deleted my pictures though. Such a shame!
Nitro Zeus
Oh, for sure. I just was highlighting TLK because it was notably off-schedule, with messes like Wave 3/4 Deluxes and these guys, and even then, the schedule was asinine. Stuff like Leader Megatron was supposed to come out in the fall- months after the film came out, and in my area, anything not Voyager past Wave 1 only got to shelves late December. All that for a movie that flopped due to an especially low amount of quality and care.

Just TLK? Hasbro's had an uncomfortably consistent record of not properly distributing toys for a few years now.
Nitro Zeus
This feels like watching soldiers come back from their tours. Man, TLK was one awfully distributed line.
Daimao
Damn, spent way too much on these on Ebay but at least I've had them for almost a year.
GiganGoji
$3.99 each!
Happy hunting!
