Thanks to 2005 Boards member f90happy, we have a look at the stock images of the Transformers G1 Bumblebee Reissue And Studio Series Bumblebee The Movie Helmet.
First, for the old classic fans, we have a clear look at a possible Transformers G1 Bumblebee Reissue, which should be part of the recent Transformers Generation 1 Reissue Walmart Exclusive Figures. While the blister retains the classic G1 design, the toy has got some interesting variations. A silver painted bumper and a cartoon-accurate molded face, rather than the original battle mask head sculpt of the G1 toy. This is similar to the G1 Bumblebee toy included with Takara’s Transformers Collection Minibot Team Set while back in 2004.
We also have a nice addition to the Studio Series merchandising. A Bumblebee Showcase Helmet, inspired from the upcoming Bumblebee: The Movie. We can’t say what gimmicks are included with this helmet, but according to images of the box, it will use 3 AA batteries, and it has Bluetooth.
You can check out the images after the jump, and then you can chime in your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Just saw some of the G1 reissue minibots in person at Walmart. Totally awesome. They had one of each. I just bought a bumblebee as that was the first Transformer I ever had…
Nevermore
Bumblebee on Walmart
Swerve on Walmart
Outback on Walmart
Tailgate on Walmart
And for good measure, the other three which have been linked before:
Hot Rod at Walmart
Starscream at Walmart
Devastator at Walmart
RotorstormNZ
So the little guys are getting released individually? Hope so!
I also hope they do G2 Bee in the near future, as he's the one I had. Would be so cool to be able to buy one to be carded for display and another for messing with.

That bit about it being a "set" was a misconception based on the Robot Kingdom listing, which was actually for a full case of eight individually cared figures (three Bumblebees, two Swerves, two Tailgates and one Outback).
As is often the case, an early mistake based on incomplete information gets promptly mistaken for fact and immediately becomes gospel.

The head looks cool but it’d be weird to just have a severed Bee head hahaha.
Despite not having the original headsculpt though, I am definitely eager to get that G1 reissue. Never owned the original version so it’d be cool to have.

If that helmet can be used as headphones, and people can walk in on me just sitting at my computer with that helmet on, then I might get it. Also, that remolding to the G1 Bumblebee mold looks neat. Nice little figure to have on the shelf!

The helmet looks good but is gonna be a pass. I remember picking up the prime helmet on sale from rotf for $25 when full price they went for $45- $50 back then. I was thinking about picking up the prime helmet from tlk until I saw it was going for $100 which I laughed at when I seen it. Honestly the only reason I see the jump in price like that is because of what must have been a lot of sales of the star wars episode 7 helmets selling at that price. Someone told me they bought a kylo ren helmet and almost instantly regretted it telling me how cheap the quality was and nowhere near worth the money they wanted for it
ljacone
Interesting, that works alright for me as I already have G1 Outback but none of the others!

I Love the real G1 head on the wal mart one.

Given how those Optimus and Megatron helmet/mask things are still gathering dust on shelves today, I really hope that Bumblebee helmet doesn’t share their fate.

Nice! I think I maybe have the Takara one, or a keychain that has the cartoon head, but I am not sure. If not I want this, since I always found it weird that we had to wait until 1989 to get a Bee that looks like the cartoon/comic version\'s face (the Classic Pretender).
Terrellatron
Reminds me of when they reissued the G.I.JOES in 2008 I wish they would do that again and also re do Transformers Universe

When they did offer G1 MP Bee, IIRC he didn't sell out (up until TRU folded, he was available on their website). Unless they drop thre price on him, I don't see people buying that figure
dCon
Oooooohh, well that makes a little more sense.

I'd like to see front and side of the helmet. It doesn't look very accurate from this p.o.v. imo
I like to see these G1 figures land on the Walmart shelves id buy them all! They look so beautiful! Looks just like late winter 1984 1st time i saw Transformers I was at a New York TRU toy store that actually sold more then just carded toys. My state just had the Sears order catalog, Ames, & Ben Franklin. Wed see G1 Bumblebee but not G1 Starscream. Go-Bots but not Super Go-Bots. He-Man but not Snake Pitt or Strydor. See how all the boxed stuff was never there? :/
Deadend
Possible. Though it could be because the TLK one was also described as "an old battle buddy of Bumblebee's". Though that also hints at likely an appearance in the movie too of when they parted ways.
WishfulThinking
I guess there's hope. It would make up for the inevitable nubbed stacks again.
dCon
Oh I read it as I "dont" which looking back i clearly misread it lol

If Bumblebee gets the new head, would an Optimus Prime reissue get the Music Label head?
omagaprime
Yeah I'm not so sure I like this Bumblebee. I'll probably still get it but that head just seems wierd to me.
