Via Weibo, new Third Party company Transform Element has just shared images of the gray prototype of their Transform Element TE-01 (G1 Optimus Prime).
We have several shots of the robot mode from different angles. According to the description, this figure will be 24 cm tall and has got a very cartoon-accurate design. A very solid figure indeed, with no trace of the wheels of the alt mode and a very clean backpack. No images of the vehicle mode yet, but we hope it will look as good as the robot mode.
Still no information of release date or price unfortunately, but we have another nice option for a new Masterpiece Scaled Optimus Prime, following the official Takara Tomy Masterpiece Convoy/Optimus Prime Version 3 and and 3P Magic Square Toys MS-01.
You can check out the images after the jump and then join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Boards!

I don't have this figure, but it looks like for the head the screw broke? I'd just replace it. Maybe throw something a bit more robust in there. Honestly the foot doesn't look like a big deal. If it's not affecting stability in bot mode or transformation I'd let it ride.
Honesty
I’m willing to let this guy go.
No box, but all accessories and a T_76 neck upgrade installed.
It’s the version …2? I think. Not V1, but not the V3 when they got rid of the indentation in his upper left arm for the insignia.
Shoot me a DM and we can work something out!
Treadshot 2.0
Yep my V1 is rocking the original head. It’s better than MP 44 season one head

Don't know about the head but one of my feet has that crack. It's held together fine so I never tried to fix it. As for how to fix it, you could try gluing it but it almost certainly won't hold and I don't think there's enough room there to add a reinforcing pin so the only option would be to get a replacement part.

Hi guys, new collector here and just got my te-01. tried transforming the guy but got these qc issues:
When I tried to transform the head (the step where you have to swivel the backpack and head) the swivel part popped off. found out by looking that they assembled the head the opposite way. I should've checked it first before rotating it but it fell off so easily.

The other qc issue is that one of the feet's sliders has a crack on it when I haven't done anything to it yet.

So, any thoughts on how to fix these issues? I tried to contact the person that sold this to me but I have no response yet.

If I could find a V1 or V2 with the clearer windows for sure I would leave the original head on him.

I like the antennas on the original head.
The toon head antenna are more bendy, made of a different plastic and not the same color.
They are however not swappable. The pegs are different sizes and don’t fit right.
Rewind
I do, too.

I have not had a canonical interest in Nemesis (or Shattered Glass) but Optimus looks sensational in Black!
Goldchains
Love this figure so much I bought the nemesis version.

Will probably get the SG version too.

In robot mode does his head look up nicely? I had the situation where I couldn't get everything in the right spot and a fabulous person mentioned here the head might have been installed backwards and yes he couldn't look up.

Also, rotate the head 180
rusticmeadows
I did that
Furb
Fold the ears forward and flip the top of his head in front of his face

Did anyone else have problems with his bulbous head being too big for alt-mode? I ended up removing it and was able to immediately complete transformation. Watched several transformation videos and scanned the instructions, maybe I missed something but that was the easiest solution (for now).

I will check this later but I transformed mine dozens of times and I never realized something like this.
mechman22
Looks like mine is also stressed there and I have only transformed him like 3 times.
Thanks for the heads up.

And speaking of the shoulder blade, I'm glad I never bothered to try transforming this one

This stressed peg, is the very one that sheared off on my 1st copy

LOL true, but this is my 2nd Op Leader (1st had a "shoulder blade" shear off on the 1st transformation) so, I wanted to be extra careful with this one.

Happy to FINALLY have the joints unlocked.
