S.N.D sure took their time, but it was worth the wait to see our first look at the colored version of their Primo X-Mortis Upgrade Kit (Nova Prime) For Battle Core Optimus Prime via Weibo user -阿鲁卡多-and S.N.D Weibo
With this impressive upgrade, you can convert the Combiner Wars Voyager Battle Core Optimus Prime into the evil IDW Nova Prime. We have a lot of extra parts for the robot mode for the limbs, chest, head and more noticeable a big pair of mechanical and articulated wings. To top it all, two detailed swords that can combine into a big scythe.
All the parts can integrate in the alt mode, and you still can use the mold as a Combiner Wars torso, still compatible with any other Combiner Wars Deluxe figure as limbs. Once in Combiner mode, you can choose to display the wings on the back or as a battle skirt armor.
Does this kit please your optics? We are sure that yes! Pre-orders have started to show up in our sponsors below for around $70. You can now click on the bar to check out the mirrored gallery and chime in your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Sadly the creator is no longer with us, so whats been made is it.

They made multiple repaints of this kit to fit the repaints of each Combiner Wars Prime (white Magnus, Nemesis, etc.).

What's crazy is that this, and the regular Prime version, are two of the best upgrade kits I've ever seen. I can't seem to find any more of this company's work, either. Did they only make two kits?
KveTar
Blackjack finally arrived. Now this bad guy is fully equipped. Not my best TF, but a favorite for sure.

Yeah I find it pretty weird that no other Nova Prime looks anywhere near as good. Every other one, both official and 3P looks like Nova has been eating too many energon bars. Those Primes beats his enemies by sitting on them.
To think the best looking Nova Prime figure in this world is a 3P upgrade for an extremely derided CHUG figure. I'm personally just holding out hope that Flame Toys adds Nova to their K3 line.
Gepard
An absolute nightmare for sure.
I didn't think to check the tolerances on all the parts before running headlong into assembling the kit, meaning I discovered that the pre-drilled screw holes in the new pelvis part were too small, only after I'd driven the screws halfway in and stripped both of them.
I had to drill out the tops of the screws and clean up the remainder with a Dremel and a diamond grinder bit in order to get the parts apart again. It's partially the kit's fault – there's a few tolerance issues that needed jeweler's files and a pin vice to fix. I ended up drilling the pelvis screw holes larger, then pre-threading them with screws scavenged from a junker that I lubed with silicone grease.
(Then I did a dumb thing and modded the waist mushroom peg to fit the stock waist parts…only to discover that I was supposed to swap that part, and the modded peg was much too loose in the new part. Grrrrr…)
Anyway. The ket is very cool, but don't do what I did, and pre-test the assemblies before committing to anything.
There's also an engineering oversight with the alt mode that's pretty irritating: the chest has a pair of tabs that line up with slots in the wing backpack, but it's not possible to tab them in because the chest collides with the clips used for combiner mode. I suppose I could cut into the chest parts, but that would show in robot mode.

Spider Truck… Spider Truck… haha.
Omnus
For reference, after CodeXCDM showed that the wings from this kit could be attached to Legacy Nova Prime I followed the example and did so for myself (it does vastly improve the look of the figure).
I hadn't even considered putting the wings on the altmode, since the altmode isn't very Nova Prime-ish. After seeing your post I decided to try it out. The altmode is pretty much just partsforming anyway, so what's a couple more parts going to hurt?

General side view. It kinda looks like Nova got an altmode upgrade by Tarantulas. BTW, it may not look like all the arms clear the ground, but that's just from where I took these pics. It does clear the ground on a flat, even surface.

An above-side view to give a better impression of of how these look overall when attached.

A straight-on shot, so you can see what it looks like when Nova comes gunning for you. The gold "running lights" effect created by the gold at the end of the one set of wing armatures is pretty much blurred out in this shot.

Rear view with the gold from another set of armatures providing a sort of extra tail lights look.
Mercurius
Oh, brilliant! I didn't realize they had 5mm pegs. Figured you'd have to have integrated them into the hinges of the original wings. Makes ordering this set even more attractive.
CodeXCDM
I didn't remove anything. I simply put the wings from the kit into the shoulders of Nova.
Personally haven't tried to see if I can attach the wings in alt mode.
Mercurius
Okay. As someone desperately waiting on a decent wings upgrade kit for Legacy Nova Prime, I have to know – how hard is it to remove the stock wings, how easy is it to install the replacements, and does it still transform?
KveTar
A good one! But there is MMC Terminus Hexatron Supernova version already:

Finally! I got the limbs.

And Blackjack is on the way for the chest.
So, who is he now? Novus Prime, Nova Maximus or Novus Maximus?
Omnus
I just tried to transfer the wings to the Legacy Nova Prime (as per CodeXCDM's genius example):

I wasn't finding a need to flip-out the heel-spurs before. This makes him back heavy enough to need them, but it still works fine.
I tried swapping on the head from the kit. The ball for the head to fit on to Legacy Nova is too large. Bummer…
IceConvoy
I still adore this upgrade. I do have a hard time getting it into vehicle mode but it looks better in robot mode anyway.
xueyue2
still the best Nova Prime out there.
williammmw
This kit definitely worth every single cent and the effort

Whelp, went in on this upgrade kit for $30 at TFSource. Even though they're a little big for Legacy NP, they do look really nice and I like those shoulder guns a lot.
