Along with the first official trailer, we now have our first official post for the Transformers: Bumblebee movie, due out this Christmas. In it we see Bee standing with Charlie Watson, played by Hailee Steinfeld. The words “Every adventure has a beginning” are printed above them. Read on to check it out in full!
Caminus Prime
They were searching for him and the allspark.
But here I'm hoping for a new twist, like a secret assignment from Megs or SS in case all else failed for the cons two decades later (which inevitably happened the 07 film).
Music
Yup, so not only is the government hunting him down, so are the Decepticons. It should throw and interesting wrench into all this.
Speaking of Deceptions, I wonder why they're here in the first place. To thaw frozen Megatron?

Plenty of people rightly pointing out the “boy/girl & their robot friend go on adventures” trope, but one thing Bumblebee has that the Iron Giant, Johnny 5 and others don’t is an actual legitimate threat that’s more than a match for him. A threat that’s not just evil government dudes. That alone will help set it apart.
Also, really dig that poster.

My guess is that the Jeep is his first alt-mode, set sometime before the events of the film, and he takes on the Beetle form after a run in with some Decepticons (he’s apparently shaken up when he meets the female lead). Maybe we will see a post-credits scene of him taking on the Camaro form, presumably some time before 2007 so that there is enough time for him to get “custom faded”.
We have seen several times that cybertronians in the Movieverse can change alt-modes faster that a person changing their clothes. But one thing I am worried about in this film is a romance plot between ‘Bee and the female lead. I hate romance plots!

That's a pretty nice poster
SPLIT LIP
More like Jeep to Beetle to Camaro.

I like the actress who is the main character and it looks like this may actually be a decent film but I’m so sick of Bayformers. Why couldn’t this be a reboot movie. I could’ve used bumblebee as a jumping off point to start over rather than do a preamble to the crap that came before it.
Unicron9
Kinda bummed he still has the "can't talk" gimmick in this movie too, and the residual Bay design aspects are the only thing I'm not loving about the bots, but seeing that Starscream made me real happy.
HunterGreen2005
I must watch this movie when it comes out. Maybe buy a bunch of stuff from the toy line as well. Definitely that Starscream toy
The Smirker
Pretty weird trailer. It had this weird charm to it, that makes it feel like an underdog type of story, and I kinda've like it in a way. The little guy vs. starscream. He also isn't an f-15 for some weird reason, but okay. The cg is like a mix of 3d web animation, and pacific rim cgi. It's not bad looking, but there are some parts where it looks weird, such as the transformation scene when he transformed over her, which sounds really weird when you spell it out. The design isn't bad. I can somewhat get behind it. I think having the radio change voice is an awful choice, as it doesn't need to be there quite yet, instead maybe we could see bumblebee lose his voice, and let him be sad that he's lost his voice, but still fights pretty good. I hate to be a gee wunner here, but dan gilvezan should be the star of this film. He gave the character a lot of lovability, and I think having the audience connect to a Bumblebee with a voice, should've been prevelant. Hope it turns out really well, the charm should sell it enough, and with solid acting should make for a great pg-13 summer flick. Wait, it's in december, that doesn't make any sense. Things are looking well here on moonbase 2.
Fort Max
There's going to be a maximum of twenty years between this film (1987) and the first bay movie (2007)*, there's plenty of time to fill in with more bee based adventures if this fits well. No need to be wishing him into stasis just yet.
* Assuming the first film is set in the year it was released of course.
OMEGAPRIME1983
Yup. I'm actually excited to see this. That's amazing!
artimus prime
I doubt that he scans another Beetle before the Camaro. He probably goes from Beetle to Jeep to Camaro.

Damn this is one really neat poster, I might even get it for my bedroom wall.
GrimLocke
A steady diet of Pop Culture and Ore-13 is just what a growing bot needs.
Phenotype
I wondered this myself. I'm assuming his mass is the same but it's just distributed differently. His arms and legs are much chunkier, so maybe that makes up the additional mass.
reave
I really hope not. First, the VW parked in the '07 lot is a later, 70's model, not the mid-60's shown in Bumblebee. Second, this would be a great starting point for a full reboot, with the subsequent films moving into the late 80's and early 90's.
TheSoundwave
That's a beautiful poster.
