I agree with you and I know it was a Mexican TV network’s official Twitter. I just haven’t seen Paramount or Hasbro *themselves* confirm the network’s tweet. That’s all.

Actually, it came from a verified account of a famous TV Channel. If we take that fact and the fact that official Social Media pages popped up mere hours after the announcement may indicate that there is a high probability to see the trailer.
Oh, we can't forget the fact that Foxtel is celebrating the upcoming Bumblebee movie (says so on their press release) with a popup channel which will begin on the same day as the Trailer. Coincidence? May be, but all signs are pointing towards a trailer on 5th.

I’m actually gonna hold my excitement until official sources (Paramount, Hasbro) officially announce the trailer. Then the marketing blitz will really begin.
I’m not saying that the trailer won’t come this Wednesday. I’m just waiting until someone else confirms what someone else says instead of just getting hyped and treating one person’s claim as fact.

Do you guys remember the link that was written on the promo posters during CinemaCon ? It was: http://www.bumblebeethemovie.com
I visit the link every day, to see if there is any change. Nothing till this day.
I've tried to just write: http://www.bumblebeemovie.com and it worked. It redirects you to the official Bumblebee facebook page. I guess they changed the domain name due to copyright reasons ?

They didn't mean to showcase this animated text as a piece marketing material. It's just supposed to be a Facebook page banner. I think people are getting confused thinking Paramount is promoting this short video—that's not the case.
Though, I'm sure we'll see real promotional content soon.

Dear Paramount, a good teaser is that thing Tom Cruise posted on Instagram for Top Gun 2.
Merely showing "Bumblebee" text isn't exciting

This whole conversation for some reason reminds me of that South Park episode 'You're Getting Old' where Stan complained about things he used to love which annoyed the people around him.

Wow. This has really made me realize that \"Bumblebee\" is quite a silly name to base a whole character/movie off of.
SPLIT LIP
I think it just applies to humans in general.

None of that has a single thing to do with my point, which is, it's absolute god damn madness to make a social statement about a film and it's marketing and the people around it because "The Facebook page made in advance for a trailer drop has a little logo".
This stuff shouldn't cut this deep for anyone, I'm not even knocking on your feelings as much as I'm baffled that your conclusion to that logo was this.
Not baffled by Afterburner though since him being salty as hell and unreasonable to the point of unstable behaviour is in character at this point, God help that man.

I think @Autobot Burnout has something of a point about the way the fandom wants confirmation of their beliefs and has a tendency to reject or deny stuff that doesn't fit that. That much being said, I think that applies to most if not all fanbases. Star Wars is another big one.
Over half a year before The Force Awakens came out, a website leaked the entire basic storyline. At the time, a lot of people were in denial of it because it sounded like a rehash of A New Hope. Come December, it turned out to be true. I had people telling me up until the last minute that "nothing has leaked out" and "this is the most secret movie ever". I was thinking "Huh? The entire plot leaked seven months ago". I guess that's kind of a side tangent, but it's somewhat relevant.
I'm still not sure what Burnout's post has to do with the title though. As I mentioned before, it's just a motion banner to make their page look cool. TLK's page has one too. It's not really a reveal video, it's just in video format because that what Facebook accepts.

How long did it take you to write all of that?! View attachment 27999361

It's a pattern repeated ad-nauseum since 2014 with AoE. And it is understandable – fans want to know all they can. While I question wanting to know too much before the film even comes out, that is not my place to question…in general.
But with Transformers? People don't want anything more than confirmation of what they already believe, such that if news contradicts their expectations then they outright reject it.
Happened with AoE, when early screenings had people reporting the entire plot, which revealed the Dinobots were pretty much shitcanned from the get-go among many other issues. People were in straight up denial over this but when the movie finally came out in full, the reactions were extreme – people either thought it was the best film or that it was absolute garbage. Very few were in the middle ground.
Then with TLK, after all the bullshit over in Europe with the Nazi flags and how "Churchhill himself would be proud of this film", only to find out from leaks that pretty much nothing in the film had much of an explanation nor was there much of any kind of follow up to AoE. Again people were in denial, and again the film came out showing that, yes, it was a shitshow that didn't seem to really comprehend it was meant to be a sequel that explained shit from AoE. Churchhill's house isn't even in the film from what I recall being told (I certainly didn't waste my money on seeing it). But among other things that panned out to be nothing included Prime being evil, the Dinobots actually getting respect this time around as Dinobots, any in-film explanation for why Galvatron is suddenly a normally transforming Megatron, and of course that sub thing which kind of just exists to be a plot-convinient transport for no explicit reason.
You call me out for my cynicism, but last I checked, being cynical about the last two films was proven justified when AoE and TLK failed to be what fans wanted both times. And there is desperation more than ever when it comes to Bumblebee, because if Bumlbebee does fail (and given how hard even this little logo reveal is avoiding using the franchise name, simply being a Transformers film is bad enough these days), then that's it for the movieverse. Any shot at furthering the plot from TLK died the moment that film couldn't make in two weeks what AoE made in three days, but now even anything in the continuity is on the chopping block as SO did report Paramount tried to cancel the film not long after TLK proved to be a box office bust.
Hell, I'm less cynical about Bumblebee than I was for AoE and TLK, because from what little I've heard there may actually be something of a good plot and story in it – along with potentially better designs if the buzz over Starscream being "G1 toy like" is any indication – and really, whatever happens I still win in the end because despite what many posters like to think just so I'm an easier target to attack, I liked the first three films. The design shift from AoE was one of the biggest reasons I disliked that film and what it did to the direction of the franchise (Prime's knight form is especially noteworthy because it rejects everything that the first form got right), so more conventional designs over organic metal bullshit is right up my alley. So if Bumblebee succeeds, then the new design aesthetic will take over because Paramount will read the success as that being what people want, and I get my better movie designs back. But if Bumblebee fails, then the movies will die and the franchise can finally start anew by leaving this crap buried where it belongs. The fans of the films as they are now are the only ones who lose no matter what.
