Few days ago we revealed the details of Transformers: Bumblebee Energon Igniters toyline thanks to Amazon India. The same site is now giving us several more toys to add to the growing list of characters.
While some of these are already known to us via previous listings, two of them are completely new.
We now have an official description for Nitro Series Optimus Prime. However, a new toy listed as Hornet only carries a generic description. Stryker and Radar are codenames for Bumblebee and Optimus Prime respectively. With 10 steps, Nitro Series Optimus Prime also boasts the most number of transforming steps for an Energon Igniters figure discovered so far.
The new list of figures are as follows:
- Transformers MV6 Energon Igniters Action Figure – 10 Hornet 2
- Transformers Bumblebee Energon Igniters Nitro Series – Optimus Prime
- Transformers Bumblebee Energon Igniters Speed Series – Optimus Prime
- Transformers MV6 Energon Igniters Action Figure – 20 Stryker 1

It may well come up again. I doubt the description was plucked from thin air, so it’s possible it will be listed with the correct product code.

So no destroyer Voyager that's unfortunate
RodimusSupreme
Ok. Thank you. So, where did the Destroyer name come from? Is there a “Destroyer” figure at all?
SilverOptimus
It's a mislist. The actual toy (Model Number E0755) is Energon Igniters Speed Series Barricade. It was incorrectly listed as Studio Series Voyager Destroyer.
RodimusSupreme
Yeah, but that’s not really the point I’m going for. Some people (Nevermore and SilverOptimus, I believe), said the listing might have been for a different line other than Studio Series and was just put here by accident. But who knows. I hope there’s another Voyager.
Also, forgot to add in the unknown Leader figure that’s been rumored/discovered. Long Haul? Bonecrusher? (His size could go for either a large Voyager or small Leader), Scorn? Jetfire?
lonewolf96
Mabey I was meant to be put up yet but the destroyer listing was removed as were others from that site so yeah probably not meant to be up yet.

My feeling is that for the Bumblebee line proper they’re just going to mix in the big names to fill it out. A bit like how ROTF Megatron and G1 Prowl ended up being part of the AOE one steps, except maybe not so random. But there’s not to go on at the moment so I guess anything’s possible.
RodimusSupreme
Dangit dude, why ya gotta tease us like this?
RodimusSupreme
In that case, we’ve got 1 unknown Voyager (unless that was a mislisting), and 5 unknown Deluxes.
We have:
Voyager:
Bonecrusher
Scrapper
Mixmaster
Rampage
Hightower
Onslaught
TF07 Megatron
DOTM Megatron
AOE Galvatron
TLK Megatron
DOTM Sentinel Prime
DOTM Shockwave
And Deluxes:
DOTM Soundwave
TF07/DOTM Barricade
TLK Barricade
Hatchet
ROTF/DOTM Sideswipe
Sideways
Hooligan (Dreadbot)
Skids
Mudflap
Dino (Mirage)
Que (Wheejack)
Topspin
Leadfoot
Roadbuster
Hot Rod
For the Bumblebee Movie, I could see Hot Rod and Barricade. Maybe Soundwave. Optimus and Megatron are both listed in the toy line. But there’s supposedly only four robots in the film. Is it that likely that they’ll fill out the toy line with characters who aren’t in the movie? Or could it be there’s more to it?
SilverOptimus
Speaking of which, despite the seemingly random nature of selecting race horses as code names, there is something else to consider here. All the horses are 80s or early 90s. Additionally, based on what I know, the horse names may have been chosen due to an important part in the movie (which I cannot confirm or deny at the moment, nevertheless is a major spoiler if true).
User_136440
Oh there’s much stranger than that out there lol
SilverOptimus
I remember that. There were 4 initial names, so I googled them. Common denominator became horses. Even the newer names are proving to be correct.
RodimusSupreme
Who the heck would name their race horse Destroyer? Or Mercenary? Strange people.
User_136440
Yep, I checked on some of them when it was first suggested, and they’re all there.

I understand the race horse thing, but are there really race horses named “Bluelight”, “Sentry”, “Mercenary”, “Destroyer”, “Hornet”, and “Cougar”?
SilverOptimus
@Nevermore Looks like "Blue Light" is from the Power Series at $9.99:
Transformers Igniters Action Figure – 10 Blue Light 2
Also, on your list, Barricade should be moved from Power Series to Speed Series.
+ Cougar might be for the Speed Series as well (at $5.99)
Nevermore
These code names (which are shared between the Bumblebee Movie line and the Studio Series line) are all taken from Australian race horses. Their selection has no bearing whatsoever on the character. "Fox" is Megatron. There's no deper meaning behind it.
As I said before, these code names serve the purpose to identify characters internally without using their actual identities. This is not a mystery movie where the writers create a puzzle the audience is encouraged to solve before the main characters. They're definitely not going to make it easy for you to figure it out by deliberately using reasoning along the lines of "animal character = cougar". That's not how these code names work.
Simply put, you're looking for a method where there is none.
RodimusSupreme
That actually would be awesome! Great white please…
