Takara-Tomy has updated their Transformers website with a new section for the highly expected Studio Series collection. As usual, this section brings us official images, names and codes of each figure. You should notice that this time, they are exactly the same as the Hasbro release we have seen before. Deluxes are priced 2,800 Yen, Voyagers 4,500 Yen, and Leader class figures are 6,800 Yen. All figures are expected to be released on April, 2018.
But there’s more, since MPM-05 Barricade’s page is up too. The Decepticon bad cop is priced 10,000 Yen and he is due to realease on April. 2018 too. Similar to the Studio Series, the official images of Barricade don’t reveal any noticeable differences with the Hasbro images seen before.

Gotta have an extra peg for the one-step toys after all. Which are of course the only ones ever stocked.

Man, I wish we had stores like this in the US that devote this much shelving to TF toys. Down here in Texas we get like 3 pegs and about two feet of shelf and that's it.

Studio Series looks to be selling well in Japanese brick and mortar stores.

Mine dropped at AE and I hit ship on everything. Too bad because of the time difference I won’t be able to pay for shipping until Sunday my time

Identical for Studio Series too. Background stands would have the Generations logo removed.

Somewhere there's a collector in Japan who's proud of their imported Hasbro collection.

Paying more for the same figure in a different box? TT version is 65 USD on Amazon Japan and my AE order was the same. How much could the Hasbro version be had for when it was released? I didn't really pay attention as my AE order was locked in. Wasn't it around 80?
I ordered the TT cos I had TT 3 and 4, and at that time you could bet on the TT Barricade being different. It still might be if they keep the fully painted door wings shown on the prototype – remains to be seen. Even if the figures are the same moving forwards I'll still get the TTs just for box consistency! Plus, like I said in another thread, you're instantly 10x cooler and a true fan/better collector when you have Japanese on your boxes!
