Transformers has been through much worse , remember the messed up Kiss Players manga?
And in my opinion , Bayformers had great ideas for stories and world-building were buried under poor direction/writing , but since your only argument is "wah ruined forever" , I don't see the point of continuing to argue. For the record , I'm not defending Bayformers but I believe that it can get past Michael Bay in the long term , and I see your point about the designs

It's cheaper to make animation there, yes. Lots of incentives to animation studios. Especially on countries like Ireland where government encourages them as a rising industry.

Is Europe the India of the animation industry or something?

His affect is expanding past his time. The bay-aesthetic is now a permanent fixture of Transformers. It's alright that he took an alien approach, but his aesthetic is particularly UGLY, when compared to similar alien attack stories in science fiction or giant robots. It's like he wanted to go with the ID4 or Geiger just covered in Shards of metal. Infact if you look at Bay's other alien movies there is a similar aesthetic that DOES NOT really relate to overall aesthetics of all previous incarnations of transformers at all. Yes he's ruined it.

First , Bay is no longer involved in any way with Bayformers as we currently know.
Plus , acting like Bay intends on destroying your childhood is something I thought this fandom evolved past

Appears that way.

And yet….here you are.

No, the script that I'm working in is not going to be part of their live-action cinematic universe. This is going to be like a stand-alone movie like what DC does and MARVEL did, and if it did well, this film could be used to launch into an animated series about the Cybertronian War. Besides, it's not uncommon for a company to make two films of the same event in different continuities that are very similar. DC did it with Batman Begins (2005) and Batman Year One (2011). MARVEL did a similar thing when it released the animated film, Invincible Iron Man (2007), just one year before the live-action Iron Man (2008), and the beginning portion of both of those films were very similar to each other.

Given that they've been working on this since at least 2016, it could be complete by next year. But there is no way the 2019 film is a live action sequel to The Last Knight like so many people think.

I think 3 years to fully complete an animated series is completely reasonable. They are just now in the hiring process for voice actors….how long do you think this takes?
BeePrime_WFCTX_106023
But you think another 250 million live action film will be out next year?
NotRamjet97
Oh they're making it? greaaaaaaat…………….. I didn't really have any interest in this project before, and now it's lessened even more.
Iacon Studios
So you think Hasbro is going to buy your script and change their movie universe to match it?

Iacon Studios
I don't want that.
Iacon Studios
You don't know that.
Besides…its a prequel and we have seen how Cybertron looks in the past. They can only change so much. Everyone on Cybertron looked like spiky gray/silver generic bots.

I would still be down to help with this if they needed someone who wasn't an animator and lived halfway across the world. Guess I'm a couple of decades too late for The Lord of the Rings, and I doubt we have much else going here (unless you count Power Rangers, which is a hellish nightmare to work on – I'd really rather not get up at 3am for such low pay, but maybe I'll do it).
Maybe I should go live in Ireland. Heh.

What they need to do is do like the DC animated films, and do a bunch set in a G1-inspired continuity, or adapting existing comic entries…
-Last Stand of the Wreckers / Sins of the Wreckers
-Lost Light
-Till All Are One
Or hell, any of the IDW comics properties:-MASK
-ROM
-G.I. Joe (Before / Around the Civil War events
-Visionaries
I\'d buy the shit outta those.

Transformers Animated feature film… Cool! ….based on the live action movies.. Noooooo!!!
My confused reaction when I read the headline. Not based on Animated, but will be animated. Thanks.
Not a big fan of TF Animated, but at least it has more depth than the mud puddle that is Bayformers.

Start Fresh without tying it too deep with the already established Bayverse. The games War and Fall of Cybertron had tremendous potential for storytelling. I don\'t need to see origins of Transformers, maybe limit that for flashbacks and narrations. The comic War Within would be a good start. How and why the war began in a mixture of political thriller in a cybertronian twist but don\'t make it \"too edgy\" like what Bay tried and failed to achieve. Just a cohersive point of story would do justice. Don\'t even get me started with the animated Combiner Wars and Titan\'s Return. Some of the episodes of Rescuebots made more sense than that animated garbage.
