Guess what?
…It was F ing
AWES ME
EVERY frilling p ge!
This is Transformers, we don't even deserve this kind of quality.
Look whats acceptable in live action versions of the franchise.

So you don't like the comic at all anymore?
If that's true, what are your favorite comics so we can see where you're coming from. Because right now with single digits exceptions Lost Light is the best series I've ever read. I'm not talking about Transformers comics, I'm talking about comics in general.
– Not enough altmodes: not relevant to the story
– Don't like Anode: she's not my favorite either but she's in like 1% of these books and may be important to the story they want to tell.
– Humor: why the hell not? Why we already have the deadly serious DJD does everything have to be deadly serious…really?

I think people who love this comic are quick to write off legitimate criticisms as "hate" far too quickly. Especially when such a term is too simplistic to adequately describe what's going on with the book's detractors.
I dunno. I can only speak for myself and what I see, but I used to love the comic, and I was pretty vocal about it. I didn't just randomly change my opinion overnight, and I feel like few did. In fact most people who still like the comic seem very vocal, there's just fewer of them it seems.
Also I wouldn't call four days later "quick."

I regret coming to the thread.

amen to that

I think the folks who love this comic are more quiet while the haters are quick to post hate.

See, this is what I mean about MTMTE/LL's dialogue being clunky. Actually imagine it being spoken and it comes across as massively disjointed. Anode wants Velocity to just spit it out, yeah? So why then ramble on in a massive sentence longer than the one she failed to complete? You see how every sentence feels less like spoken dialogue and more like text/forum communique? Every character is given absurd amounts of "time" to speak unless they need to be cut off for physical action or interruption as part of the dialogue.
As for Red's new design, it is bad freaking ass if you ask me. Cerebros may have awesome techno clunk and chunk, but Red just looks… cool, man. I love how it's basically an evolution of his rounded MTMTE design and he even uses his shoulder missile.
I regret that I only have one like to give.
Optimax Prime
unless the character doesn't have only one color scheme\format or is new, keep them in mind for every new design
OriginalFire
Exactly what I was gonna say. The design does maintain all the main components of a Red Alert Design, he is still red and white.
Optimax Prime
so far, by my opinion, that's the funniest thing in the series

Some people think the book has gotten too silly and would like it to have some more gravitas and catharsis, especially now that we're in the final arc and this is where all the world-building and emotional investment are supposed to pay off. Other people are like, what are you talking about, why would you expect that, the book has always been a comedy, nothing has changed. And I'm like, hmm, well, yes, but actually, no. There are different kinds of comedy, and I think it started out as more dark comedy-drama than fluffy sitcom, what with all the torture and murder and war crimes.
Fargo is a comedy about a dude who murders his wife and then tries to get away with it. That's a different sort of comedy than Arrested Development. (Even though Arrested Development is about a dude who commits some "light treason" and tries to get away with it.)

i just…. don't get how or why it's relevant? at all?
i mean i DO get where you're coming from. Having characters i had toys of when i was a kid showing up in my fav book is a pretty neat little bonus – and conversely, i bought my first TF in a good 20 years specifically because i enjoyed them so much in MTMTE and the new toy was a close enough match to their IDW self – so yeah, broadly speaking i do get it.
I think the key difference is neither of us is skittering around declaring Rook's failure to become the main protagonist as proof that JRo is a hack, or can't write, or that he hates the book he's writing and is trying to set it on fire.
Using toy characters should be a nice touch and a cool experience but i really feel like the story is what's meant to be important – if toys are the be all and end all then someone's got the wrong end of things and should maybe stick to reading toy catalogues. is that too harsh?

Anode literally has her head up her ass.

Purple Heart
That is one sexy Cerebros.

Seeing Milne's art again puts a smile on my face even if I like Lawrence's art too. It's just a shame the story is shit now.

Regardless of my own stance on LL being high art or comedy or both or neither, your response to optimusmegas is unnecessarily condescending and hurts your argument. It's okay for him to have different opinions about the book without you attempting to label him as uptight and telling him to unclench, much like you're all right to feel that it's "just a comic book" without being labelled as shallow or unintelligent. Both labels are unfair.

The Necrobot is a legend. It doesn't matter that he's never met him, he'd have heard the stories. Hell, as a paranoid conspiracy theorist, he probably REALLY knew the stories and had his own ideas about what the Necrobot was.
They were together on the Lost Light for quite awhile.

Too bad this wasn't released sooner, you probably could've scored a TR Cerebros by himself back when Fort Max's were still just starting to be sold. I saw many Cerebros sold by themselves on Ebay (I'm assuming it's because many people preferred the original Max head and/or the 3P one…I don't know why, the TR Max head was perfect imo–and so they sold it instead of having it sit around doing nothing).
