Via Perfect Effect Facebook we have new images of their upcoming Perfect Effect PC-23 Upgrade Set for POTP Dinobots.
The images now give us a look at all the new extra parts and weapons to improve POTP Volcanicus Combiner and the Dinobots. The new parts can be integrated with Grimlock and other Dinobots as weaponry, the individual swords can combine into a massive sword for Volcanicus and you get new forearms and upper legs for Voyager Grimlock.
Set Contents:

Thigh———————– x2
Dino Fighter————– x1

Thank you for replying. I'm not crazy about the feet myself, but I was just wondering if they would be too small to look decent with the added bulk of the kit.
foxracing
Not the PC-23 but you can see the feet are a wee bit undersized @ this thread. Also a parts view. If you really need to see a PC-23 with Hasbro/TT hands and feet lemme know cos I do not like them aesthetically at all.
GRANDUS97
My apologies for necro bumping this thread. To anyone that has the pc-23 set, how does it look with the hasbro hands and feet ?
StapDLambs
I wouldn’t mind a Volcanicus set repainted for God Neptune.
Judgement prime
can someon give a image of the back of the waist armor(the part that can hold a titan/prime master

Same, I wouldn't mind another set

I hope they release PC-21. I need it for Predacus.

Just wanted to warn people about PC-23 kit as it's getting re-released.
Do NOT buy for Takara GS Volcanicus. Takara actually fixed the joint issues. The kit would interfere with that, let alone, have a huge deco mismatch due to the new metallic finishes.
Don't think PC-21 is getting re-released, but GS Volcanicus has new feet and Seacon hands, so at least new feet are not needed. Hands are questionable since the Seacon thumbs can't stay in place when holding large accessories (without some sort of stabilizing adapter).

Finally got my hands on PC-21, and had PC-23 for over a year now
Ready to set-up a nice, pimped Volcanicus, but wanted to ask the boards first
I remember discussion regarding the POTP dinobots having poor 5mm ports that stress/crack easily even with the stock hands/feet, let alone 3rd party ones
I imagine the answer is to shave the PE pegs down, but also interested to know if the KOs are better?
I recall one of the KO types was like 1:1 with the POTP figs (though I already installed Grimlock's new PE arms on the official fig, gramble)
Anyone able to comment/recommend? I would hate to assemble this thing after all this time, and blow out the terrible-plastic ports

For anyone who bought multiple sets, let me know if you have an extra set of feet you're willing to sell me.
TM2 Dinobot
I've got the kit up for grabs. It has everything, minus Grimlock's parts and the crotch plate, but it does include the TCW butt plate. Back plate, torso piece, mega sword. I threw in some extra swords and guns. PM me if you're interested. I'm thinking $45 shipped or something like that.
Shiftimus Prime
Thanks, that did the trick!

Look toward the top (flat) of the blade, the side that they black piece is on. See those notches where it tabs into the "hilt" of the sword? You just slide those upward. Those notches coincide with the notches on the orange part underneath it, and keep the entire blade secure in the hilt. You just need to slide upward, releasing all four of the blades from the hilt
Shiftimus Prime
I just got this set and the dinobots second hand. Can anyone tell me what the trick is to separating the black sword from the hilt? I can't get it to budge and I don't want to break anything. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies, guys! I figured I'd check in with the fandom before conducting any surgery, in case I missed anything
Was thinking I might have to do something like this. Thanks for the tip.
It is good to know this works – and once in place, the knees actually stay put! I'll give it another go, before I try the surgery option (having only just bought it, I'd just hate to now wreck it by removing too much material, and I don't fancy switching back to the regular thighs, either).
Thanks again, guys
greboguru
Yeah, getting those knees all the way in is a real challenge. Thumb-killer!

I had the same issue and found that i had not pushed them in completely. I really had to push on mine to get them in, but once i did they stayed.

i have run in to that problem too havent delt with it yet but i have a good idea how to fix it just have not had to much time to fiddle with the problem . i had same kind of problem with punch/counterpunch and had to clean out with a screw driver the mushroom peg hole slightly by scratching down the mold line

Man, I keep going back-and-forth on both of these…
Side-note: I must say, I love the thigh-configuration on the PE one (left) in this pic above. While forward motion at the hips may be gone, at least it looks great!
ATM, I'm leaning towards just getting PC-23 (I love the look of the Grimmy upgrades!) and maybe just relying on the regular POTP hands and feet (instead of PC-21), to save money. For individual weaponry, Nonnef's Gun Set (including the wing extensions for Swoop) looks to be the way to go.
I'm a big fan of PC-23's sword disassembling into swords for the individual Dinobots (a la Feral Rex), over TDW's big sword + separate individual swords option (a less efficient approach IMHO); while Nonnef's weaponry also outpoints TDW's for mine (looking at you, plain-black TDW Swoop missiles!) On the other hand, TDW's hands (in particular) and feet look excellent… just not enough to make me want to get TDW. While it may be the best value-for-money set, I feel there is a lot of… inefficiency in how TDW has executed it (i.e. with all the individual weaponry leftovers; particularly in combined mode).
Picture request: could someone with PC-23 and Nonnef's Gun Set post a pic of Volcanicus, using the POTP hands and feet (instead of PC-21), and with the hips configured so that Grimlock's tail pieces are out to the side (like the PE one in the picture above)?
Well, I've finally got Volcanicus, PC-23, and Nonnef's Gun set, and I've got to say, I'm pretty happy with it all.
The limb-bots do a great job of recapturing the magic of the G1 Dinobots. Plus, I haven't even had to tighten their joints like I did with most of my CW/UW limb-bots.
I'm also pretty satisfied with the standard POTP hands and feet; not sure if I'll worry about getting PC-21 at this stage (let alone the TDW kit).
Nonnef's gun set is sensational – props to my man @Sy-Rein who ordered the set for me (and even paid extra in shipping from his own pocket to make sure I got it quickly!)
As for PC-23: it simply completes Grimmy; fixing a number of issues I've had with him straight out of the box (those new forearms alone are amazing!) Love the shield and dino-rider/hip-plate, and the sword is absolutely boss! (So much so, that I may end up tightening those limb-bots a little bit after all – just so they can better handle poses with the sword, while in combined mode).
Only big issue I'm having is with the PC-23 thigh replacements.
They're mostly excellent, giving Grimmy much more solid hip joints, better proportions, and a more solid combined mode torso.
The problem I'm having is Grimlock's knees refuse to stay on whenever I rotate the thighs (see photos).

Sorry for not going through 38 pages of thread, but has anyone else had this issue?
If so, how did you fix it?
foxracing
Volcanicus and his pet both PE kitted now.
