“MACGUFFIN QUEST! The Scavengers have never had it so good. The war is a receding memory, their patchy service records have been forgotten, and the five of them can roam the galaxy as they please. All’s well that ends well? Not quite. Because unbeknownst to Krok and Co., their next adventure… will be their last”.
You can check out the line art after the jump and then sound off your impressions at the 2005 Boards!

Possibly but again we are thinking what it would be like as humans to pull this pose off and to me it's not a pose but part of a movement that probably sees grimlock rampaging through whatever forest fire this is. Its a snapshot. As a cybertronian he's probably easily capable of pulling if this move.
Add in some artistic licence and you get a rather cool snapshot of grimlock.

Nah, it's because his right leg is stretched forward and his left leg is stretched ridiculously far back, while his body is twisting in the opposite direction. If you tried to replicate this pose in real life it would be ridiculously uncomfortable. You can put Grimlock in a cool looking pose while still making him look lumbering and ungraceful (see the Maximum Dinobots covers + the covers of the Scavengers issues.) He looks genuinely awkward here because human (and by extension humanoid Cybertronian) anatomy doesn't naturally bend that way. Also from a different perspective pieces of his armour would have to clip around his waist in order to pull this off.
CleverNamePendingatron
It’s cool, but that pose has a slight Dreamwave-esque feel to it – every limb awkwardly bulging out in a slightly different direction. Still, Grimlock kind of makes it work.
SG Roadbuster
Cahill draws a good Grimlock. can we get him over on the Optimus Prime book so he can rescue the other Dinobots from Ramondelli?

I'm sorry but what's wrong with it. Grimlock is cutting his way through by the looks of it.
Grimlock was never graceful. This is a cool pic and its moaning for the sake of it.
kaszal
You've got a point… now I can't un-see it.

For a second it seemed like Volcanicus!

To be fair, there are a multitude of factors that go into selecting a replacement artist vs. just "do they draw well" (unfortunately, but that's business).
fafireguy
All i can imagine with his pose is his cutting trees in his way and not noticing the fire.
"ME GRIMLOCK TIRED OF TREES BEING IN THE WAY!"

This would have looked so much cooler if Grimlock wasn\'t drawn in the most awkward pose ever. I mean seriously, what is that?
raindance773
Excellent! Maybe we are finally going to get back to Grimlock as a force to be reckoned with!

Hail to the King Baby!
TyrantLizardKing
The one revealed the other day where Grimlock is chasing Nickel.

I take it Cahill is not the main artist then (and you like the cover?)
Wheeljack_Prime
Sigh, another reminder that Milne had more worthy replacements than the one we ended up getting.
kaszal
Me too. Which Roche cover do you mean?

Demonic! I love it!
