Hasbro have announced that they are teaming up with Toys for Tots this holiday season to bring joy to thousands of children and families in need. As a part of their “Be Fearless Be Kind” initiative, for every new unwrapped toy or game donated through the holiday season, Hasbro will donate a toy or game themselves, up to a million toys.
As a member of this fandom, I’ve witnessed dedicated fans come together to do incredible things for those in need, and it is my belief that we together as a fandom can bring joy to tens of thousands of families in need this holiday season.

Meh, charity is charity – if you're entitled to a deduction on your taxes, do you not take it?
It's not as if this is in some way a profit, or even breaking even for them. If they donate a $20 toy, they get to write off "their" value (likely $10) against their taxable profits. So for simplistic sake, say they are taxed at 25% and they donate a "$20 toy" (that they normally sell wholesale for $10) – that's only going to equate to a $2.50 reduction in taxes. (Both numbers are possibly relatively lower, as the dollar values may be based on their costs, and not the wholesale price, I'm not sure on that.)
A more apt analogy about the charity of the cat initiative would be when it costs you $40 to rescue cats in trees, but you're going to gripe about it because a local fire dept gives you $6 for every cat.

Time to clear out those pegwarmers!
C'mon, it's for a good cause.
(Well, maybe excluding Titans. I've seen Ken dolls with more articulation.)

I couldn't find a TfT bin in my area (sad!) so I just donated $40 instead.

Right now I've got the following slated for a TFT bin:
I probably have a couple more figures to go with them, once I clean up my office/basement and find out everything I've got.
Deadend
That's awesome!

Lots of kids will be getting movie repaints and one-step changers this year.

Good job, Hasbro! In the interest of not starting an argument here, just ignore my unpopular spoiler above! Charity good.

I know a good number of you already donate to Toys for Tots each year, and I respect your charity. Hasbro is stepping up as well and will match donations up to a million toys – so let's make the most of this and make a lot of children happy this holiday season.
