Artist Brendan Cahill shares his IDW Transformers VS Visionaries #1 Retailer Incentive Cover pencils and clean version.
Brendan Cahill on Twitter shared his great cover featuring Autobot Kup and Leoric (character designs by Fico Ossio are all new and really different on this character). Brendan also tweeted some comments on this cover: “So yeah, I’m doing RI covers for all 5 issues of #transformers vs. #visionaries !Here’s the clean version of #1. Colors by @lbennettdraws“.
Transformers vs Visionaries is the next 5-issue IDW miniseries after the recent First Strike crossover and it’s coming on December.
Transformers Vs. The Visionaries #1
Cybertron has been invaded. The Transformers encounter unwelcome guests at the heart of Cybertron—and they may not have their hosts’ best interests at heart. Refugees from another world, the Visionaries’ startling magical abilities could make them powerful allies… or dangerous enemies.
You can check out the cover after the jump and then share your impressions at the 2005 Boards!

Well, at least she owned up to her mistake.
Unlike Sitterson it seems…

So I didn't know about this either until Shadow Panther kept bringing it up in any thread vaguely related to TF vs. Visionaries, but back in July Vissagio posted a few angry Tweets in in the heat of the moment in response to the (failed) attempt to ban trans people from the US military, including "so FUCK YOU. FUCK CIS ASSHOLES. FUCK YOUR BULLSHIT. GET READY FOR A BASEBALL BAT TO THE TEETH." which some people took as a genuine threat because god forbid anyone use hyperbole in the internet.
She did actually apologise and deleted the offending Tweets but there are still people who either don't know about that or just won't let it go anyway (though I get the feeling there are much worse things they'd shrug off…)

What was apparently said on Twitter, because I've not read it.
Lionheart
All I have to say is how much I hate the saturated yellow of his dreads. It's a hideous color juxtaposed to the rest of his color-scheme.
Honestly, I am indifferent to this crossover but I love seeing technology and magic pitted against each other so I guess i'll just have to wait and see.

N'aww, its like you've never heard of a false binary, cute.
As a straight white dude myself I am perfectly capable of putting a tweet in its place AND enjoying a wizard on robot punch up.
This superhuman feat of ego maintanence is brought to you by basic decency.
Nexus Prime
So it's okay to wish violence on straight white men. Not being racist here at all. I thought it was equality for all. As usual tolerance is a one way street for some people.

Robots v wizards! This sounds super exciting! The art looks ultra lush!
Oh wait the creator said a bad about white mans on the tweeter, i guess i hate it now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Having a toyline for all these characters again would be great, it sucks that they are only revived in paper and not in plastic
Jalaguy
I mean, they haven't really done this so far, and I can't imagine they'll start now. The only real case so far of "you need to read this other book to understand this book" is Optimus Prime bringing in the likes of Centurion and Stardrive, and that's only because John Barber wrote them all.
shamanking282
I did already. It was a bit of a bummer, but also very liberating. I highly recommend dropping the books if you’re on the fence.

If i stopped buying books based on EVERYTHING that a creator has ever said or done that has pissed me of then i would have alot more money in my pocket. I am very thick skinned when it comes to being offended or bothered by what anyone says or does. I was already halfway out the door with IDW due to the shared universe crap. However IMHO Visaggio and Sittersom went to far for my taste and were the straw that broke the camels back for me with IDW
Haywired
Yeah.
If I cared about drama coming from creators then I'd have to avoid pretty much everything coming from Alan Moore because he can be real bonkers at times.

I just couldn't imagine dumping something I love very much just because the writer or creator has said something I disagree with on social media. I'll stick with or dump a product based on the quality of the product alone, and never due to any outside factors – not even its own creator.
omegafix
pretty much this
one could say the same about you when you come charging into every post on your white horse in shining armor when one of us disagrees with anything Hasbro Shared Universe or IDW
Haywired
Well, I'm not going to be forced into reading a crossover I didn't ask for to begin with no matter how desperate the publisher is…
… and if they'll try to put there anything (like a crucial character development) what I'll need for understanding better a character from a main TF title?
Then I'm going to simply drop their main TF title in a permanent fashion just because of such underhanded tactics.
So it's all fairly simple to me.
ultramagnus1
I'm not overly pushed on this crossover but didn't I read somewhere that this title would advance a certain character in this universe. So for that reason I may pick it up to see what more will be revealed about said character
SG Roadbuster
I take it you havent seen my digibash thread? i'd consider that a contribution.
in all seriousness though
Im not complaining that they exist. i'm complaining that the best Transformers Fiction we've ever gotten is being compromised as a transparent marketing attempt to drum up hype for a DEAD franchise.
as far as the Visionaries themselves go, I actually do like the new designs. they're a lot more dynamic and unique than the "white dudes in plate mail" look of the originals.
Danny-Boy
Good god, man. Do you ever have anything more to contribute than the same inane whining about the very existence of things that aren’t robots?
