Hmmmmmmm. Overlord shows up and defeats the good guy. What’s confusing my about that? He’s looking for Megatron too.
We know who Overlord is because this is a show directed at fans. Furthermore, he’s acting like a bad guy. So what confusing about that?
I mean, if this is all that Overlord does during the entire series, then yeah that’s confusing. But we’re not even halfway through.

I watched all of the episodes with my 8 year old son. One million questions followed. If a show can't put together a reasonable story to follow for an eight year old, it isn't worth being made. There has to be a reason for an appearance. If CW is any indication, we won't have any reason for anything. Just a guy showing up, a terribly animated battle, and that's it.
If this was a fan made show put together by amateurs, I'd say it was OK. Considering this is a professionally made series with a decent amount of resources, just end it now and Hasbro should cut their losses.
If I was in charge of the people who made this abomination, I'd fire every single one of them. If this was the quality of work I put out at my job, I wouldn't last a week.

OFF: It mostly follows the books closely in season 1, yes but it gets so much better after that. I'd spoil things if I said more, but to me the second season is a lot like a live-action Fallout series. All we are missing is intelligent deathclaws. And mostly, I have not seen many shows where main characters have to make horrible "you become a monster either way" choices to save their people or loved ones… and yet remain relatable. The last season basically had put the weight of having to decide what part of humanity would survive to repopulate earth later… not a small decision and of course every saint would choose their own people. As for Falling Skies, I liked how the conflict escalated and we understood the scope of things, that there are many races involved in this war. It was a lot like XCOM, actually – so not surprising when they actually made an XCOM-like strategy game out of it.

Always imagined him with David Kaye's UT Megs voice. Try it out when reading the comics!

Wow, Overlord is weird, but that's fine.
I also find it strange that these episodes feel like the titles to a basic story outline – Overlord and emissary (notes beneath stating what the two might do in the episode)
I did like the fight, but felt they reused footage a bit too much.

I watched the first season of The 100 and it was basically just human stories as well. Maybe things changed in later seasons, but from what I saw it was mostly showing humans dealing with their new world. The same as WD. Falling Skies was a bit different because you had an intelligent non-human entity in the mix. Ultimately most shows are going to be largely about how humans react to whatever scenario the show has set-up. But, no, I doubt WD is going to be introducing super powered zombies if that is what you are hoping for.

Oh, THAT Hank Hill. I never watched that show, only seen parts of episodes and even that in german so this name never rang a ball.
So, I have watched both episodes now yesterday and WOW this is ridiculously bad.
-Machinima knows that PotP is happening, knew the names of the 13, and they could not at least make the symbols in the basilica match those on the Prime Master "matrices"?
-"Still feel bad about me killing you" and "When we stopped Unicron", umm, sorry, WHAT? This show does not take place in ANY G1 continuity that I know of. Little context please?
-The lack of textures on Fort Max is ridiculous. The toy on my desc looks more real than this… poligon. Honestly, I was checking Might and Magic VII recently and it had better textures than some of the backgrounds here. Is Max made out of marble or what??
-Menasor pushes a random button and Max fires a missile at Metroplex with Emissary riding it Dr Strangelove style. WUUUUUTTTT??? Why? How did he know what was going on or where Metroplex was? Was he always active? Why did he have to badly damage Metroplex to… give him laser eyes? HOW did he give him laser eyes, without actually combining with him?
-Deus ex Overlord. Who is he? What does he want? He gives a 10 minute monologue in ridiculous Texan accent but I am no closer to finding out just who this guy is. Of course I knew Overlord (even before IDW) but people new to the franchise will scratch their heads.
-Hey Overlord, Hela called, she is not happy with you scene-stealing her crushing Mjolnir from Ragnarok, OK?
-So apparently, getting shot multiple times (via repeating the same scene?), crushed into a wall, and stepped on is not enough to kill the Mistress of Flame, but throwing her into the neon lights in the ceiling kills her right away?
-And… apparently Cybertronians also piss themselves when they die? Because that stuff sure was not colored like energon.
I am still not understanding the ridiculous accent of Overlord, and why people thought this was a good idea. The whole cigar-chewing, rootin-tootin accent was OK for Ironhide in the cartoon (if stretching it) because he was that sort of tough guy character. But this Overlord is supposed to be some new key player and rival to Megatron, yet he sounds like some village preacher harpin on about the evils of the world.
OFF-topic: Yeah, but see, this is my main problem with the show… same as with LOST, it just uses the zombie apocalypse to tell stories about human behavior that could be told in any other environment too. I much prefer shows like The 100 or Falling Skies where the extinction of the human race or the alien invasion was more than a backdrop created to tell compelling life lessons, see.

Well, the show is generally following the comic, so, yes. Negan is kind of like a dictator. His control is as much mental and emotional as it is a physical threat. You do sometimes wonder why some of those around him don’t just shoot the guy, but the same could be be asked of pretty much any tyrannical leader IRL.

This had to be done now.

The first is seen!
I\'m very much looking forward to it.

That was by far the best thing I've seen in a week. The sheer randomness of this episode was making me laugh non-stop.
The Mistress of Flame is practicing her religion peacefully, with a terrible VA, and Pastor Overlord basically came in and was like "nah, I don't like your religion very much", and proceeded to torture her and leave her to die in a pool of blood. As she was screaming and wailing, he just walked away, transforming into his alt modes, and left with a smile.
The dialogue didn't make any sense, so the above is all I could understand.
It did look like he was smiling at the end, and that was beautiful. The episode reminded me of JoJo part 3 when the main character committed violent acts at his school and just left and never came back.
BB Shockwave
Everyone compares Overlord to Negan and I had to look up who the heck that is.
… Seriously? This many seasons and the biggest bad Walking Dead has produced is some deranged gang leader with a baseball bat? Y'know I was killing guys like him in Fallout 2 dime a dozen by the time I got to the bigger cities? Shouldn't this show have escalated by now and I dunno, added giant mutant zombies or Herbert West from Reanimator or, y'know, just anything more threatening than "guy with a bat"?
People who declare this show "awesome", I feel, are:
A/ below 18 where every week something new is the best thing ever made for you
B/ do not understand what the word means
It's why I watch it on Kimcartoons (they already have it up), it only generates ad revenue for that site. Machinima will not see a dime from it, which is as I want it to be.
WEEGEE
That name for overlord is the best thing ever.
Porkulus
I don't give a shit about this show but Bible Salesman Overlord is the best thing ever

I'm thoroughly enjoying this show and, as said previously, it makes me appreciate the CW and TR/LG figures even more. Kudos to Hasbro and keep 'em coming!
