Via VRFocus, we have a look at a new augmented reality app for iOS. The app lets you create an augmented reality version of Cade Yeager’s junkyard in your lounge or bedroom, complete with a Bumblebee who can run around the junkyard you create and blow things up. It’s a free download, as well as Paramount’s first foray into augmented reality. It seems like a fun little diversion, although for now it is only available on iOS. Hopefully an Android version might be in the works, and we might see more apps like this in the future, particularly with the Transformers universe Bumblebee movie coming next year, and Transformers VI down the road.
There’s a trailer video that shows off the app, check it out below:

Wouldn't that be the apps's fault?

Angry Camaro
I know right? Bothers me!
I do like that bee's headlamps are illuminated in robot mode. He has not done this since Movie 1.
Deadend
That's kind of awesome!
Hope testing this technology leads to more like this where they let kids do this with any movie toy they buy, and see it come alive via an app like this. Or even two toys and watch them fight over a movie inspired landscape. Really blend that line of toy to media more.
