Very much like how it happened for Transformers: Prime following the conclusion of the show, artists involved with Transformers: Robots In Disguise have started to share the art they’ve created for RID.
Our first batch of images comes from the show’s Lead Character Designer himself. Walter Gatus is sharing quite a lot of both used and unused characters/vehicles for the show. Some of the known characters include Steeljaw, Jazz, Micronus Prime, Starscream, Soundwave and lots and lots of Minicons.
Jose Lopez is also sharing some of the work he did, including a blue Sideswipe concept which did not made it to the final cut. We even get a good look at how ChopShop‘s combination was conceptualized.
You can check out the mirrored images, after the jump.
Electro Rush
So many cool designs, especially that super robot-esque Powered Up Starscream.
diablogunner
Wait, they made cool transformers post 1992? (just joking)
Prime’s Pappa
If only the figs had come out looking like the pics
QLRformer
Some cool designs here.

Since Sideswipe was blue and based off a completely different vehicle while in development, I wonder if he was originally planned as another character outside of an update to his G1 namesake, like how RiDlock was.

I'd like to see Thunderhoof in the IDW universe…there's a bit you could do with him.

Try NEVER!
Since despite getting everything they want, the GeeWhinners still complain to Hasbro that they still don't get what they want. Maybe if they finally learn to shut up and let the other TF fans have a peice of the pie we'll finally get some more figures from toys post 1992!

Hasbro should do a 'TV Edition' series like they've currently planned to do a Movie Edition to give the fans some figures they missed out on across all TV Lineups. Oh wait, that's what the Generation line is for. Imagine seeing some of these designs down the line… in about 20 years.
Caminus Prime
I would love to see Fracture and Thunderhoof in the Movieverse.
AirjitzuRonin
Nope. We'll still get RID stuff til Cyberverse starts in late 2018 as other lines usually get. One year in between their end and the next lines beginning that is distributed awfully.
Deonasis
Such great work! I really need to watch this show and see the great villian designs.
Alphard
I hope some of these characters get revisited in the future, in different continuities.
(I'd like a nice Chop Shop toy, thanks)
So
Animated is chins
Prime is eyebrows
RID is shoulders
G1 is cubes
Beast Wars is shiny.
I'm glad they released all of these though. They're really useful for artists.

I thought the RID toyline was done? Or maybe it was just the warrior class figures?
AirjitzuRonin
RID has been very minimal at recent conventions. PotP has been hogging the spotlight and though it's awesome, I need my RID fix.

Did I just saw GUNDAM WING ZERO CUSTOM ENDLES WALTZ?
HAHAHAHA!!!

That blue Sideswipe is giving me a TFP Arcee vibe. (Why did her and Smockscreen never show up in RID!?)
CleverNamePendingatron
Obligatory "WhY mY ShOuLdErS hUrT?" joke.

I think I have a question for you: Are there really character designs of Bumblebee made by Walter Gatus, along with the character designs of Bumblebee made by Jose Lopez?

Introducing Optimus Prime: Now with 75% more shoulders!
