It's better, yes. And it's entertaining. But there's still a lot of work to do.

Ok, finally broke down & downloaded the go90 app to watch the first two episodes. My sentiments echo most of yours; an improvement over CW, but that's not saying much. Don't like how they stripped Trypticon of any and all personality. I know he didn't have very much to begin with, but this would've been a good opportunity to flesh him out a little. Like many of you I couldn't distinguish a lot of what Hot Rod was saying, and the lip synch is indeed still off at times. Still, it's none the less slighty better than their last effort & a step in the right direction. As someone else said, hopefully by the time they get to Power of the Primes they'll have all the kinks ironed out & a big enough budget to put together something actually impressive

…you know, there's a lot wrong with this series, mostly down to production control (writing, directing, editing, and sound design), but the moment i heard victor carroli's voice open the first episode, i was surprisingly okay with enjoying titans return despite its flaws…
…it certainly doesn't hurt that every time i want a quick morale boost in real life, i picture his voice narrating "it is the year two thousand five…" and instantly get pumped up about living in the awesome future of twenty-first century autobot city…
Rodimus
Exactly what I was thinking. And some of the SFX made me cringe and feel like "What?" such as that horn toot by Optimus Prime. In regard to the levels of the mix, I even tried to rewind it back several times and still couldn't understand some the dialog because the levels were off and the voice effects drowned out the actor's voices. Some good dynamic range compression would really help. And I don't think anyone told Judd what the motivation or context of his character's lines were either. I was really looking forward to hearing him return, but the effect they used over his performance made it so I could hardly hear his voice, and it seemed as if some of the delivery didn't quite fit from what I could make of some of the lines. The voice director (if they had one) should have helped him. I know he's a great performer. All the cast members are good performers overall.
But man, what a treat and what a pleasant surprise to hear Victor Carroli narrate the opening! I had no idea he was going to be in this. He's still got it! His narration made my experience.

This CW+TR show is totally wooden, not very good. Basic and slow stories designed to feature a few of the toys and not much else. There was maybe one concept (spoiler coming) of the city bots purpose being to setup life on other planets which i found worthy but don't care much for combination enigmas and matrix of leaderships gobbldy gook. They use plenty of power objects in the bay movies even tfprime so it all just seems just a bit cliche especially it driving the whole show. All the charcters are dull as dishwater too, literally nothing there.
Lol, sorry just thought id call it as i see it.

I think my favorite part of this show was how all the go90 links refused to load or play on my iPhone, iPad, PS3, and PS4. I'm sorry, did I say show? I meant shitshow. I think my devices must be trying to tell me something.

I am not going argue the reaction or the lack of population in major urban area in this story. Seriously I thought I just saw Thundercracker and Skywarp just die when they try to fight Tryptocon. HotRod not so smart decision going check out the situation with the Cityformer after he less intelligent decision of giving up the Matrix. Abled bodied warriors in this show are Megatron and Optimus Prime which begs question why didn't Windblade seek them out.
SilverOptimus
Fair point.
Don't get me wrong. I love Windblade. It's just that I found that scenario to be bit awkward. I was like… "OK, that's totally way too laid back kind of a way to handle that situation".
Speaking of 'back': I hope that's not the last we see Optimus in the series. I think I saw him in the trailer for another scenario. So, I guess we'll see him again. Always loved Cullen's voice. There's just something awesome about it. It's like the Phoenix Song in the Harry Potter Universe; empowers the good people and strikes fear into the hearts of evil.
I wish the best for the creative team. I actually see major improvements from the last series. Which means Power Of The Primes may be even better.

When WindBlade went Perceptor's lab being very polite I will look at your sample to you get to shut up. Mistress of Flames warn Perceptor we don't have time discuss your scientific theories. I think the Camiens are far more polite about Perceptor than Cybertronians will be

Watched the first two episodes. I must say, I enjoyed it far better than Combiner Wars. I really love how the music enhanced the scenes perfectly. However, the mixing needs correcting. I hardly heard some of the dialog.
Cringe worthy moment came when Windblade went to see if there are anyone to help stop Trypticon. She acted so cool that you’d think she didn’t took the threat seriously. In a realistic scenario we’d have told Preceptor to stop yapping. Come to think of it, EVERYONE acted way too cool with an impending doom heading their way.
Another negative aspect is how barren Cybertron is. The roads are empty, the cities are empty. Only living beings are the main characters. (Do forgive me if it is so, since I’m unfamiliar with the background of this story. Not sure if those should the only inhabitants according to the story). I felt like Trypticon is stomping on an empty place, making the stakes very low.
Other than that, I’m happy with how Titans Return is turning out to be.

It’s alright, better then CW for sure. But you can just tell the production quality is shit.

Because I'm a whore for any G1 related media, I gave this a(nother) shot too. Thoughts below:
I'll watch it because I'm dying for some G1 animated content, but I couldn't recommend this to anyone but a diehard TF fan, and even then I'd have to provide qualifiers. If my kids were watching animated shows this stupid, I'd be annoyed.

There's a lot more bad than good that I can find in this series Definitely an improvement over Combiner Wars; unfortunately still a mess… I do find the premise cool and interesting, though. The new episode length definitely helps to alleviate some of Combiner Wars' pacing issues a bit, which is nice. This is only judging from the first two episodes and I doubt that the big improvements I want to happen will actually happen, but I'm still looking forward to see what the rest of the series has to offer.

I'm about as critical as anyone of awkward, stiff performances. That said, I didn't think this was too bad. I just really hope they do some character development with Rodimus and finally make him accept his responsibility rather than keep him in permanent adolescence. I like the idea of his maintaining the Matrix and having Optimus move on to other tasks; allow these two legends to grow!

just watched this on my tv and so far enjoying it more than the first one and i think the artwork is fantastic but still very much like watching an old computer game scene with the animation

If anyone wants to really subject themselves to this show, Kimcartoon now has both "episodes". At least this way I can do it without increasing their youtube watch count…

The elite squadron had a REALLY long name, only to get splattered like noobs. Jeesh.
Some good stuff, most of it being decent for what it is, and glaringly bad. Lots of awkward moments (i.e. Prime driving all the way to the left, doing an about-face, honking, then taking off). Some parts could've been truncated, pacing could've been better, and it would've led to a tighter product. Would think a good director would know to slash certain things to make this tighter.
Voices definitely help, but that wasn't my main gripe before. Glad windblade is toned down, but it leads to a really jarring character shift. Whatever, fine with that continuity being thrown out.
I'm fine with Rodimus's transformation back to Hot Rod. Maybe if Mistress of Flame had used Solus's hammer to make Rodimus a new arm, he would've stuck around.
Agree that it really feels like 10 bots living on Cybertron. Understand that may be a restriction caused by the budget, but can't help siding with Windblade's anger in CW because Menasor killed like 10% of Cybertron's population, hahah.
Dug Percy, looking forward to dialogue from Megatron, and Hot Rod being a goof. All in all, way better than CW, still not good by any absolute standard, but for a web series at a time when there's no 'mature' tv series, I'll continue to watch.

It's so far okay. What they did with Hotrod was interesting I guess. It seem out of no where. Animation is still cringe. Voice Acting is pretty good for Perceptor. The Titans story seems intriguing so far.

Too bad Rodimus reverting to Hot Rod only involved him getting his toy colors. Changing his MP09-inspired CGI model to one resembling his TR toy would've been hilarious. Unintentionally so, but still.
