Thanks to 2005 Boards member f90happy we have some great new Power Of The Primes Images and Packaging: Dinobots, Deluxes, Inferno, Elita-1, Legends, Titan Masters and more.
We have a vey nice set of new images for Power Of The Primes collection. First we have in-package images of Deluxe Dinobots Slug and Swoop, Legends Windcharger and Skrapnel (Generations Sharpnel reissue), Titan Masters Vector Prime and Micronus. We have also got promotional images of Micronus Pretender shell and alt mode.
The most interesting reveals are our first images of Moonracer, Inferno and Elita-1 toys in both modes. We also have new images of Deluxes: Jazz, Rippersnapper, Blackwing (Darkwing) and Voyager Hun-Grr, all showing their integration with the new Titan Masters.
Finally, as a great extra bonus, we have part of the instructions of the toys showing Rippersnapper, Jazz and Moonracer as Combiner arms, and Starscream, Elita-1 and Hun-Grr as Combiner bodies.
You can also check our previous posts with Artwork and product images of these figures here and here.

Hun-grr is the one that shares an engineering skeleton with cw silverbolt

Thank you. The tiny blurry pictures I found Googling, she looked like Combiner Wars Silverbolt. I took a break from collecting from about Dark of the Moon to The Last Knight, and have been slowly catching up these past few months. Caught up on the Titans Return line, and have been liking wave 1 of POTP thus far. Definitely looking forward to getting the rest of the Dinobots, upcoming Terrorcons, Blackwing, and Rodimus Unicronus. May pass on Elita-1 and her crew though, not a big fan of POTP voyager Starscream with the Popeye limbs.

Thanks for the pic. I was curious what it was going to look like

From what I hear it’s a redeco of the potp star scream

SPLIT LIP
No, she's a heavy retool of Starscream. Totally different mould than Silverbolt.

POTP Elita-1 is basically a redeco of Combiner Wars Silverbolt?

….. Well, now I know what I'm using Rook and Alpha Bravo with now.
redwolfbear
combiner wars inferno eh?
so does this mean he will combine with Bluestreak, Ratchet, Hoist, and Sideswipe, to form firestormer?
in the Of Masters and MayhemProject: Firestormer was a program to create another Combiner to bolster the Autobots\' war machine. Ratchet, Hoist, Sideswipe, and Inferno wanted Bluestreak to join them in the initiative, but Bluestreak did not like the idea of becoming part of a Combiner. Ultimately, Project: Firestormer was never completed, presumably due to Thunder Mayhem\'s rampage

I'm of the mind that the full story of the 13 should never be fully revealed.
Dinobot Snarl
I think the aligned continuity was an effort to reign in the movies….but it failed.
Fenrys
yep, thats the book
ultramagnus1
Nice. This is the book that was in an Autobot symbol wasn't it? Sounds like a good read.
I think there's a lot more reveals ahead and I'm interested in what kind of a backstory will be told for Unicron and primus. Mythology in any franchise can be interesting and I did enjoy the story in marvel UK legacy of Unicron story and the Unicron saga in marvel us.
Fenrys
yea there is definitely gaps in info for the idw version of the group. the covenant of primus is a pretty cool resource book, basically covers everything from the creation of cybertron to the end of transformers prime with previously untold portions of the story (13, cataclysm etc) and making the whole aligned continuity seem a bit more coherent.
ultramagnus1
I've heard of the covenant of primus book and have been tempted to pick it up. I did pick up vector prime a few years ago. He's one of my favorite figures. And wing saber too for the record.
I don't think we have the complete picture yet of the 13 primes and the guiding hand and I'm sure IDW has a plan to flesh that all out in the future. Hopefully.
Fenrys
the 13 story started getting built around the time of transformers cybertron (introduced vector prime) but the aligned continuity (high moon games, transformers prime, robots in disguise, the covenant of primus book, exodus novel trilogy) is the first to really flesh out any of the back story, particularly the covenant of primus. the idw 13 takes heavily from this version, but does have its own differences

I like this idea a lot. Tbh I've never studied the 13 primes in TFS or indeed the aligned continuity in any great detail despite being a fan since 84. I did have a 17 year break from it missing out on a lot of continuities post generation one so if the 13 primes came up in other continuities I missed it.
When Unicron is properly introduced in IDW I'd imagine we will learn everything about primus the guiding hand the 13 primes and the knights of Cybertron in this continuity. All the myths and theories will be explored. I'm looking forward to that because surely that will happen.

i take it the second way personally since that quote was made when the aligned continuity was kind of just starting. in that continuity optimus prime was one of the 13 but gave up his primehood and memories to walk among the new generation of cybertronians (non 13). the matrix was basically a failsafe that allowed orion pax to become optimus prime again (in power and name, not necessarilly reclaiming his memories though), so i always took that quote from metroplex as orion paxs name used to be optimus prime (but he cant remember wether by reincarnation or info creep) and metroplex giving pax the matrix restored his identity as optimus prime.
ultramagnus1
I always found that an interesting quote from metroplex. Considering his longevity its possible that the orion pax who changed his name to optimus prime was not the first optimus.
Or that orion pax was someone else before he was pax but he does not remember? By metroplex saying I knew you by another name suggests a previous identity one that pax has forgotten?
Or am I reading too much into it?
