Thanks to TFW2005 Boards member primalxconvoy we have AU Transformers Infobar Project In-Hand Pictures.
These figures transform from robot mode to mobile phone alt-mode with an actual notification functionality built in. When paired with a mobile phone, they will notify of any incoming calls or messages giving a practical usage for the toy.
You can check some key pictures of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron models after the jump, and then you can see the full gallery on the 2005 Boards.

Once connected, via Bluetooth (iOS only at time of writing), the notification light flashes, stimulating the same feature as the original dumbphone.

once connected to the Bluetooth, what can the Infobar do? sorry if i missed it in the thread earlier.

Maybe they meant "crazy glue"?
Anyway, it's probably due to the high price and the relatively easy way said glue became unstuck.

Gen tankor
So why is it crazy?
BWfan86
What generations or MP toys have their arms glued on?
Raiyuki
Am I the only one who kinda wants these just for the colorful stands?
Sponge
Tons of toys from 5$ – 500$ use glue, transformers included, why is it even remotely crazy
primalxconvoy
I suspect it was too save money and also to economise space. Screws and pins take more space? I think I read that iPhone use a lot of glue internally?
BWfan86
That's crazy, IMO, that they used glue

Thanks! Technically, the screen is part of the housing for the Bluetooth antenna and LED, plus you can swap the screen/wallpapers out on the screen, so this is why the screens form backpacks.
primalxconvoy
If you look through the pictures, you'll see that each figure comes with the additional card "wallpaper screens" (silver face outline, colour-coded insignia and a generic "tech " background).
Here's Megatron's:

What IS weird, however, is the text (which reads something like "Energon level") and tiny insignia that is on the back of the screen housing. This is completely obscured in alt mode and barely visible in robot mode, as it's behind the bot mode back.

The lower arm, yes. And the hand is attached via a mushroom peg. If you try and pull the arms out while transforming it, and do so at the incorrect time or with too much force, etc, there is a danger of the arm simply sliding away due to weak glue.

Thank you so much for this posting, primalxconvoy!
Very sad to hear of the limited \"screen\" functionality, esp. because it\'s not incorporated into the transformation at all (presumably leaving it free to do/be more as an independent piece)! When you see something hanging off the back and not transforming, you assume it\'s going to add a lot of play value to the toy / interaction value to the product!
Anyway, I\'ve got just the Optimus on pre-order at BBTS – Bumblebee is sweet, but not my desk\'s style, and that Megatron looks HORRIBLE!!!
Still very excited for this – it\'s my hope that, if this does decently, more and more real life items will be offered as Transformers!
maxlovesamber
The phone "screen" is just a carboard sheet for display. They all have the modified Autobot logo that's representing this product line but come with alternates. The photos are only showing the stock insert being used. Megatron will come with alternative options.

I don't understand… the black and silver one has a decepticon symbol in robot mode and an autobot symbol in alt mode?
BWfan86
So the arm was just secured with glue?
primalxconvoy
Scans of the (same) instruction manual for all the figures (I think).
