Back at Toy Fair 2010, a whole bunch of Marvel Transfomers Crossovers were shown that never saw the light of day. These included a cool looking Iron Man and War Machine combiner, which had a Tron lightcycle styled Iron Man and a humvee War Machine merge into a larger high tech flying vehicle form.
After Toy Fair 2010 other than one leak of prototype pictures, nothing was ever seen of these figures, and the line ended with a wimper.
Flash forward seven years, and we’re able to share some images of one half of the set. The Iron Man lightcycle has found its way into the hands of toy photographer Starscream’s Toast, who has shared photos and his thoughts on the figure on the Gear 4 Geeks blog. This is the first time we’ve ever really had a good look at this figure or its articulation, and one thing that is evident from the photos is that it may well have been a fun figure had it been released, with a cool futuristic alternate mode that would look right at home with the Technobots.
Check out the review and pictures of this figure on the Gear 4 Geeks blog.

Ha and it's just been announced that Crossovers is back, or at least the Star Wars ones are. Thoughts on the new Vader?
John TheDestroyer
The aerialbots made of a Y wing for Superion with A wings and X wings as the limbs.
Bulkhead could be one of those Juggernaut turbo tanks.
I'd do anything for a toy line like this.

The seekers transforming to Tie Interceptors would be awesome
Matt_M
I really expected them to toss in a few Hasbro-to-Hasbro crossovers.
A ROM Titan Master, or a Matt Trakker Titan Master (with Spectrum face)
Mercutio
Right? And like, obviously the Death Star would be Unicron.

I absolutely agree. I would've definitely bought them if they were Transformer characters that became Star Wars vehicles, as in an actual crossover of the series, but I have zero interest in Star Wars vehicles that transform in to bizzaro Star Wars robots. The Marvel ones were a bit different because they weren't actually vehicles from the comics, but the Star Wars series was a huge miss.
TCJJ
Huh, so they were planning yet another Iron Man figure for that line. Bizarre. I guess he was all the rage at the time.
This could actually make a decent IDW-style Chromia. I actually dig it.
I always wanted to get those Marvel Crossovers Transformers just because at least some of them looked like fun to play with, but I never did get them. They're probably dirt-cheap now. Maybe one day.
BScorpinok75
I'd take a fembot with that type of transformation & alt…

Crossover Iron Man looks good?
Thundershot
Oh man, that'd have been awesome.
Anakin Skywalker pilots his Interceptor. The ship turns into a robot and he becomes the head. Stuff like that. In deluxe and voyager scale. And better production values (the few Crossovers figures I own are kinda crappy compared to "real" Transformers).
TheBeastman
You know what would've been a great thing to do? Titan Master Crossover figures.

I remember when these figures were first teased… I was actually really disappointed when they weren't released. The Marvel Crossovers line provided a lot of good fodder for customizers, and this War Machine / Iron Trike combo had some cool potential.
The major misstep for Crossovers was definitely the decision to make the vehicles actually transform into robot versions of the characters, which is kind of stupid (did anybody ever ask for a giant combining Chewie and Han?). That approach limited their appeal considerably… to the purely kitchy.
Generally speaking, I think the Marvel TFs were a lot nicer than the Star Wars ones, at least in terms of conveying a sense of Transformers aesthetics. The SWTF Crossovers were quite good at capturing the iconic Star Wars ships and vehicles though…
They really did miss the boat, didn't they… killing off this line just as the MCU really revved up.

Oh this guy looks cool! I just hope they restart the crossover lines again someday.
Mercutio
Crossovers was a neat idea, but so weirdly executed. I always thought that it should have been actual Transformers characters turning into Star Wars vehicles… instead of the Star Wars characters piloting grotesque oversized robotic versions of themselves.
A Tie Bomber Megatron would have been pretty cool (even the colour scheme would have worked!), flanked by some Interceptor seekers. A lot cooler than what we got, anyway.
Deadend
This was one of the ones I really wanted too!
This one and the Ironman/War Machine vehicle combiner were big ones on my want list.
Kind of surprised they haven't found a way to re-release them during movie lines somehow. The Spidey and Ironman vehicle combiner would have been cool during Spider-man homecoming.
And this bike Ironman has tons of potential as an Afterburner retool. Still would love to see a Doctor Doom and Ultron rendition of these done too. A sentinel would be cool on market right now too. And the licensing costs shouldn't be that much of a factor with hasbro having the master toy license for Marvel.
Absolutely loved the concept of the hulkbuster Hulk tanks too. Always meant to pick a few up. These still have tons of potential if they want to revisit some of the molds and remold a few heads. The Venom one was freaking phenomenal too. It was so 'what if a symbiote infected Downshift/Big Daddy' and by today's Marvel line up, that car mode would make a freaking epic Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider.
Still kind of a shame they never got to do the helicarrier with Nick Fury and whoever else. And would have loved a quinjet one. And heck yeah GOTG ship ones would be freaking awesome right now for the cross universe appeal of Transformers hiding in plain sight in the galactic empires.
IronMagnus
I have those three too! They aren't perfect, but they're pretty neat I think.
Since Ironman had several transforming figures, I settled on the version that turned into a jet to complete my transforming Avengers lineup.. I felt a jet was the best alt-mode for Ironman, as flying is a big part of his toolkit. It also balances out the display with two ground and 2 flying vehicles.

Licensing costs probably went up because of the Avengers' popularity, and Hasbro likely didn't see any profit from making a new Crossovers line.
A shame, since they'd be wicked improved this time around.
