Seth and Vangelus finish talking Hascon reveals, deduce the science of the Star Wars Toy Metric, and at one point discuss a body pillow.

Thank you for telling me I'm so looking ford to that figure

You want transforming wrestlers?
Undertaker as a tombstone
Gold dust as a camera
Hacksaw Jim Dugan as a 2×4
Randy Savage as a Slim jim
Insane Galvatron
There most obvious answer for TF characters dressed in wrestler garb has to be Mirage as John Cena.
chuckdawg1999
FYI, Hasbro made a great line of WWF figures back in the early 90s.
Gryph
Elita One was part of the PotP leak. She's going to be a heavy retool of Starscream.
Harrison
Hello even team, "Angelus"," BJ" and that "Other Guy" listening to the pod cast I notest that in nether of the recent ones have you talked about Power of the Primes retools. I think a Ultra Magnus retool is imminent and wanted your thoughts on weather the cab is Magnus or Magnum. Also think Elita one has to be done in one of her forms.
Cyjim04,

That tidal wave mode looks awesome

Two things about the Siege on Cybertron set.
First, you need to paint Metal Hawk's antennae gold. It's a small detail that adds a lot.

Secondly, Tidal Wave has a space carrier fan mode, that I think fits him way better than the standard carrier mode.

The next next time You read a listener question from Mikey you could prep by going on Netflix and watching Limmy's show with the subtitles on. Then you could throw in the occasional isnae, hadnae, or dinosaursexsistnae. You could also end all sentences with "aye!" or "noe!".
Requiem Prime
I really hope The Ape paired with Primal has its own identity.
Freeman talk: they confirmed figma Genji so we're at half a team. I doubt we'll get complete even with other sources, but I'd be surprised if figma didn't do Pharah (she's essentially Samus with wings).

Can't we just dress Ramhorn up like the Rock and paint him blue?
Icantthinkofagoodname
The Rock needs to either turn into a nose or an oven, to play off the "can you smell what the Rock is cooking?" line
Vangelus
Fixed version should now be up
it was just in the opening few minutes, when I was trying to clean up some noise garageband very helpfully like a betrayal scum also trimmed off a bunch of Seth's audio in those opening few minutes
Gojira Prime
Thanks, it hasn't been an issue for the rest of the show, I just found myself wondering if this was a bit that I wasn't getting.

Between 2012 and what 2013 on the retail revenue chart there is what I believe to a person in the industry would call a hard fall. Subsequent numbers in that chart would suggest the industry is still recovering from that drop.
I believe the current toy price and sales situation is a result of a number of number of factors, most of which Seth and Vangelus touched upon. There's inflation, but also manufacturing costs have probably increased. Consumers have gotten more picky about products over the years too, which does lead to higher demands for quality. There's more expectations for action figures lately.
For Transformers, collectors have become a larger slice of the pie, but that's because the pie is smaller now. Digital toys are a very real competitor to physical toys. Certain brands of chips and things that used to boast a small plastic thing inside now have an AR card or a code for a smartphone game more often. Sometimes it's because it's cheaper to make, but usually it's because that's what kids are interested in more. I have cousins who are at the age when I was just starting to get into action figures who couldn't care less about figures but rave about tablet games.
I have argued against the put forth by Aaron Archer that the industry may become largely collector-oriented, but that's looking more and more to be the case recently. As long as there's movies I don't think the non-collector demographic will disappear completely, but in a case where they were to stop making films, and there's no mega-hit cartoon, I could see things ending up similar to the Japanese market where Americans pay $25 for a deluxe, but a deluxe aimed at them. Yay?
At least it's unlikely to ever reach the point of GI Joe, where the very core concept just stopped being appealing.
Halfsight
Thanks for answering my question! I remember as a kid that I could buy 2 GI Joes for $5 bucks even after tax (grew up in Ga) and I know it played a huge part in my love of toys. Giving 8 year old me $20 bucks meant my parents were stuck in the same isle in toysrus for an hour as poured thru every figure on the pegs ( maybe why we never went there much). As I said in the question I\'ve just seen first hand parents refusing to pay prices on ML, Black series and TFs and got me to thinking.
SirPwntALot
I\'m gonna make a pretty sure assumption the Optimal Optimus cockpit is where the matrix will go on the figure, so by extension you could also fit a Titan master in there
Knightsword
FYI the recent Darth Vader and OT Stormtrooper (blue helmet vents) are meant to be the Rebels versions.
Destron23
As you were mentioning all the details about Rippersnapper… couldn\'t help but wonder if they did some retooling if he\'d make a suitable Repugnus?
